Hi my name is Jo (Jojo)
I am an ofsted registered childminder in Galley Common, nuneaton (from Jan 2019) (Ribbonfields) I am a member of Pacey and I run Jojoschildminding.
I am happily married. I have a 33yr old daughter a 29yr old step daughter, a 9yr old daughter (I know big gap but very wanted) and a 4 year old Granddaughter a grandson due in jan and 3 step grandchildren xx
We are all DBS checked.
I child mind children from the ages of 0 up to 8 years of age.
I offer a non smoking household
The only pets we have are fish.
I have been graded GOOD by Ofsted 2019
My Experience
I have lots of experience in looking after children as I have been a parent for 33yrs for 11yrs I brought my daughter up on my own, I have a step daughter who is very much part of our family, I have looked after friends and family's children since I was 12/13yrs.
I/We fostered for about 7 yrs and had approx 88 children, some stay in touch. We are god parents to one of our foster children’s children.
I provide a warm, safe, friendly, home environment with a family atmosphere in which children feel valued. Where they can play, learn and develop. Children will receive lots of individual attention whilst enjoying interaction with others. I appreciate that parents are the most important people in a child's life and therefore consult the parent on all aspects of there child's care.
I have lots of toys for the children to play with, these change so we can do different activity’s. We an enclosed garden in which the children can play in and will be doing various activities and daytrips too. I also plan on having themed weeks so all parents and children are involved. i.e. RED, Wearing red, What can we find that is red, Fruit and Veg that are red etc
My Qualifications
Diploma in home based childcare
Paediatric first aid
Smile award plus
NVQ level 3 in childcare
I have attended many day and short courses over my child caring years. I am willing to continue relevant training courses that I can access.

My hours Monday to Thursday 7.30am-5pm
Friday 7.30-3.30pm

Where do I start?! Jo is just the best. She has a lovely home environment and I know that every time my son goes to Jo, she treats him like one of her own. Jo has lots of play equipment and activities for children to play with and a really nice garden for dry days - she has a big slide built into her sloped garden which my son LOVES. They do crafts and bake and also have themed days for Christmas, Jubilee etc which the children love.
Jo is patient, flexible, kind, caring and fun. She gives the best cuddles too! Something my son has needed from time to time. He struggled to settle having lived most of his life in lockdown and Jo went above and beyond to welcome him every morning to ease his worries.
Jo tells me every day how my son has been, ups and downs and sends messages in the day too. Communication is very open and receiving pictures is a nice way to see what my child has been doing.
Jo was super helpful when we were potty training and made the whole process so much easier, not only was she great with my son but also really kind to a worried mum too by reassuring me!
I can’t recommend Jo enough, she’s not just our childminder, she’s a great friend as well. We trust her implicitly with our child and know he’s always safe and happy.

I have known jo for 14 years she was my daughter's child minder for a good few years. She always come home happy and was always very happy when going to jos. I'm just very sad that jo is moving away from my area to Nuneaton as I now need a child minder for my son and jo would be my no1 choice. Thank you jo for everything and good luck in Nuneaton

Jo has been amazing with my daughter and has put me completely at ease with returning to work espically as a first time mum, she let me know how my little one is doing and the communication is fantastic and I know my little one is well looked after. My daughter loved going to Jojo’s and had a great time there and has built a lovely relationship with Jojo and the other children.

Jojo is fantastic. She has looked after both my children and we have had the best care provided for them. She is fun, caring and both my sons enjoyed and still enjoy their time with her. She is highly professional and easy to talk to. She has been very flexible to provide me with the hours I need for my childcare and my mind is always at rest knowing my children are with her whilst my husband and myself work.
