Ofsted Inspected and twice judged 'Outstanding' childminder located in a beautiful village just outside Hitchin.
Hi, my name is Corey and I am mum to one daughter, born 2008. I live with my daughter and my partner in the village of Great Offley, which is about ten minutes outside Hitchin.
My focus is on the happiness and all round well being of the children I care for and I am passionate about treating each child as a individual and a valued member of our setting.
I offer flexible care and will try my best to accommodate you and your child/children.
I live in a cosy little cottage and have an outside space and also an allotment where we plant, grow, pick and eat fruit and vegetables from. Our allotment just a couple of minutes walk away from the house.
I cook for the children and try to use a varied and healthy balance of foods, including whole wheats and grains, little or no salt/sugar and include fresh fruit and veg in snacks and cooking. I home make my main meals, sometimes including the children and getting messy in the process!
I have a variety of games, toys and resources which is ever growing - depending on the children I care for. I provide hands on activities, inside and out including sensory play, messy play and open ended resources.
I provide lots of cooking and craft activities, and am definitely not precious about getting messy. I use opportunities throughout play to explore your child's interest and nurture them and their learning journey.
I feel very strongly about having positive and strong lines of communications with parents and carers, and strive to work in partnership with you to provide the best and most appropriate care for your little one.
My Experience
I have been childminding a varied age range of children from 5 months to 11 years old. I have experience from volunteering at Offley Preschool and Primary to running a popular and busy baby and toddler playgroup in Hitchin. I was on Offley Preschool committee, Vice Chair of another Preschool in Hitchin and acted as Treasurer for the O.S.A for many years.
I have experience with working with special needs and children with varying degrees of abilities.
My Qualifications
I am OFSTED registered and hold a full Paediatric First Aid certificate. I also hold Safeguarding training. I have also qualified in my 'CYPOP5 Diploma' in 'Setting up home based childcare'.
In July 2014 I successfully completed an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
I have the appropriate Public Liability Insurance, hold a full and UK Driving license and a car which is insured for business use.
I hold full and clear enhanced CRB check.

My availability is ever changing! I offer flexible and short term contracts, so it is best to get in touch with me and see what I can accomodate.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 per hour, per child. This is a flat rate fee and does not change in holidays or go up for part timers.
I charge an additional 50p for breakfast, £1.25 for lunch and £1.75 for dinner. This is purely to help cover costs as I provide fresh and healthy options and dinners are mostly home made from fresh.
