My Summary
About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and am also the mum of two girls, aged 23 and 25. Graded OUTSTANDING on my last two Ofsted inspections. I live in Bexley, close to many playgroups and nurseries. I am within close walking distance of Hurst Primary school and this is the school I service for both drop offs and pick ups. Both myself and my girls attended there. We live in a comfortable three bedroom house with a large garden with plenty of room for outdoor play.
I love spending time with children and enjoy watching them learn and grow. My mum was a childminder for many years and I grew up in a house full of other people's children. I am still in regular contact with the children my mum looked after when I was growing up and have always enjoyed spending my time surrounded by children of all ages. My mum works alongside me as my assistant, as does my husband but not at the same time as each other. They are both registered assistants with Ofsted, DBS checked and fully paediatric first aid trained
My Experience
As a mum of two sometimes demanding girls, I have experienced most of the stages of growing up. They are now both adults, however I have a couple of extremely energetic and active younger nephews who are frequent visitors to my house. They love coming here as there’s always someone to play with as I look after children from the age of 6 months up to 11 years old. A real mix of ages and children to play with and also learn from.
My Qualifications
Ofsted registered, graded OUTSTANDING
Paediatric First Aid trained.
I am CRB checked and both my husband and Mum have been DBS checked
NVQ level 3 in children's and young people's workforce

Sharon is an absolutely amazing childminder, and her husband Chris and mum Jackie (who are her assistants) are also wonderful. I returned to work full-time when my daughter was 9 months old and was absolutely dreading it, and was so nervous about finding the right person. But as soon as I met her I knew she was the right one, and my daughter settled with her so quickly. We are having to move her as we’re moving to a different area, and we’re absolutely gutted, but cannot encourage you enough to send your child to Sharon if you’re lucky enough to get a space!
Our daughter has so much fun mixing with lots of children of different ages. Sharon has a lovely routine with them with plenty of different activities, including crafts, weekly rhyme time classes at the library and local toddler group. Her home is warm and cosy and the perfect home from home environment, and she cooks lovely and well balanced meals.
Sharon is also a brilliant communicator. She really gets to know the children and will always let you know if she has any concerns, and equally if there’s something they’ve learnt or done that you’d like to know about. From day 1 I trusted her and never worried about my daughter, I missed her a lot and hated being away from her but I always knew she was being given the care I would want for her, and having a great time.
We chose a childminder over nursery as we wanted a bit more of a homely environment while our daughter was still so little, and it couldn’t have been a better place for her. She has absolutely thrived there.
I cannot recommend Sharon enough and we will be very sorry to leave her. ♥️ Don’t hesitate as places get snapped up - we got very lucky!

Sharon is a wonderful childminder who has created a home from home for my son and all of the children that go there - the only difference is that it’s much more fun than home because there are more children to play with and much more to do!
Sharon runs a safe and organised environment , where rules are fair and everyone is respected and listened to.
As a full time working mum, I appreciate her brilliant organisation skills with regards to invoicing, holiday, hours of work and any changes or special instructions.
My son is extremely fussy with food, and Sharon cooks a large variety of healthy home cooked meals all of which my son loves and I find he is experimenting more now when at home, especially with vegetables.
There is always a lot for the kids to do and Sharon is very encouraging of my son’s love of drawing - he said himself that he loves this time to draw and see his friends.
My son settled very well into Sharon’s care and I never feel I have to worry about him when he is there. I know he is being cared for and looked after as if he was with a family member.

My daughter started with Sharon earlier this year when she started school. Sharon is so friendly and welcoming from the moment you meet her which is what made my decision so much easier after some trepidation about going down the childminder route after only ever using a private nursery.
My daughter is very happy going to Sharon’s house and looks forward to it. She is a bit of a fussy eater and Sharon has gone above and beyond to accommodate that in order for her to continue having dinners which is what we wanted. Sharon’s home is a warm environment but also offers structure which is important. Sharon has also looked after my younger daughter on an ad hoc basis and she is very happy there as well.
Finally, Sharon is unbelievably organised which is such a huge bonus when life is generally pretty chaotic. Highly recommend!

I couldn't ask for a better childminder for my little girl. We had to move childminders at the end of year 2 and my 7 yr old daughter has settle right in at Sharon's. She is looked after, she's happy and she is always well fed!
She's made friends and always looks forward to dinner at Sharon's.
From a paren't point of view, she is communicative, warm and friendly
I would recommend Sharon in a heart beat.

My eldest son was with Sharon from 5 to 11 years old. My youngest started with her at 2 years old and he’s still with her; so they’ve had many years of Sharon’s excellent care.
From potty training, to trying new foods, and pushing boundaries etc – we’ve been through it all and Sharon has been caring and supportive throughout.
From a parents’ point of view she is fair, organised, communicative, inclusive and really gets to know the children as individuals.
From my son’s point of view – he loves and respects Sharon. He feels like part of the family and he’s already told me he doesn’t want to leave her when he goes to secondary school (he’s only 8 years old!). He enjoys her home cooked meals, the various crafts and games/garden; and especially the trips to the beach and various parks during the school holidays. He feels safe and secure in her care, they have a lovely bond.
Look no further, Sharon is an outstanding childminder. I hope you’re lucky enough to get a space with her!

Sharon has looked after my two children for the last year, full day care for my daughter aged 4 and before and and after school care for my son aged 10 and I feel very lucky to have found such a great Childminder. Sharon’s setting is homely and genuine, her manner is kind, caring and fun.
It is tough leaving your children in someone else’s care and some children do not adapt to change well but throughout this year Sharon has been understanding and supportive. She helped the children settle quickly, reassured me whenever I have a worry and has made this last year stress free in regards to childcare.
The children feel safe in her care, she makes sure that everyone is included and has a wide number of activities to keep everyone involved.
I am very thankful to Sharon and cannot recommend her highly enough!

My little girl has been with Sharon since she was 9 months old. The entire process of going back to work was made possible by the fact that my daughter was so happy with Sharon from day one. I’ve always been impressed by the activities that the kids do on a daily basis and I enjoy hearing about all of the things she gets up to.
Recently we’ve just been through toilet training and while I started the process during my holidays I was really impressed with how Sharon reinforced things and actually her consistency was the key to successful potty training.
Overall, I have been very lucky. My little girl is more than happy to go to Sharon’s every day and she has flourished so much in her care. It is a warm, family based environment and I would highly recommend it.

Sharon has looked after my son since he was 10 months old. He attends full time and I have no doubt that he thoroughly enjoys every day.
I am extremely happy with the care he receives. Sharon's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my son loves playing with the huge range of toys available. His favourite place is Sharon's garden which is the perfect setting for a safe outdoor environment. Sharon's family are all so friendly and kind and there is a real loving atmosphere to her home.
Sharon provides a fantastic range of weekly activities including multiple outings to toddler groups and the library. I also receive lots of handmade crafts made by my son as keepsakes which I love. My son's confidence has grown tremendous amounts since being in Sharon's care and he is now a wonderfully outgoing little boy.
Sharon has great communication with me as a parent. I receive a daily update of where he has been, what he has eaten, nap times etc. I often receive pictures and I'm always advised of new words or actions that he's learnt.
I would absolutely recommend Sharon as a great and reliable childminder. I feel incredibly lucky to have her look after my son.

Sharon has cared for my daughter throughout her primary school years during term time and school holidays. As my daughter has been the eldest child in Sharon's care, I could have worried that she would feel left out, but, she has always been made to feel part of the gang! She will miss Sharon now that she is going off to secondary school. Sharon is a very fair childminder treating all the kids equal. I can't put a star rating for the food, as in more recent years my daughter has only been with Sharon from 7.30am to the start of school, but, prior to that, Sharon accomplished the impossible, and got my daughter to eat some fruit!
