About Me
I am a fully qualified and Ofsted registered nanny and childminder with over 20 years childcare experience.
I have also worked in a local primary school as a learning support assistant to children aged between 3 and 11 where I also ran the after school club for children of the same age for over 2 years.
I have a QCF Level 3 in homebased childcare and an NVQ Level 3 in Playwork for my role as Play Leader at the after school club.
I have also been a cub scout leader at 1st Portishead Scout Group, where I attended weekly meetings with over 30 cubs and regularly attending camps, expeditions, jamborees and International Scouting events as a Scout Leader and head cook, planning the menus and cooking at times for over 120 young people.
I am registered with Ofsted as a nanny and a childminder and am a member of PACEY (professional association of childcarers and early years), have public liability insurance, hold a current DBS disclosure, have NSPCC child safe guarding training and a paediatric first aid certificate.
For 3 years I ran my own home maintenance company which I sold as a very successful business in 2009.
I am a dedicated nanny and childminder with a wealth of experience as well as my childcare qualifications.
I feel I would be an excellent nanny or childminder to the children in my care.
I can provide numerous excellent references from previous families that I’ve worked for.
My Experience
In a nursery and junior school environment I have experience of caring for children from 3 to 11 years old.
As a nanny and childminder I have experience of caring for children from newborns through to 12 years old, including twins.
My own children are 23 and 25 years old.
As a cub/scout leader the children ranged from 8-14 year olds.

Sarah has worked for our family over the last 6 months from March 2020 through until August 2020, delivering exceptional care to our 1-year old son. The only reason Sarah is no longer with us is due to a change in our family’s circumstances.
We have been so impressed by Sarah’s commitment to her work and to our son and the way that she has been able to identify his needs.
Sarah has often gone above and beyond in making home-cooked food for our son and ensured that he had a good deal of variety and nutrition.
Our son’s development and growth have clearly benefited from his time with Sarah, who has worked hard at helping him to reach some of his milestones through active engagement and learning.
Sarah’s reliability, professionalism and love for children gave us the peace of mind that is so often a worry for parents. We are so grateful to have come across someone like Sarah and are saddened that we need to part ways.
Any family would be truly lucky to have Sarah help raise their child and should you have any questions or wish to speak further as to her outstanding character

Sarah babysat my two children yesterday - she was great. She made an effort to come round during the day to talk through her qualifications and to meet the kids.
My kids are tough yet when asked if they want to have Sarah come round again they immediately said yes!
Thoroughly recommend her on the proviso that I am not going otu and want her to sit my kids :-)
