About Me

I’m a professional Nanny living in Hook with over 20 years childcare experience as a Childminder and now a Nanny since 2016. I hold Level 3 Diploma in home based child care.

I’m registered with several Nanny agencies (Harmony at Home) gained Nanny roles through them who can verify my professionalism and references.

I have a real passion for child development, learning through play.. I am creative, enthusiastic, I invest time in all children in my care to support development and feed little one’s imagination. I arrange numerous activities for example: cooking, baking, play doh, painting, reading, library visits, play parks & picnics, making dens, puzzles, water & sand play, craft fun..the list is endless.

I attend local children's groups: Bumps & Babies in Hartley Whitney, Monkey Music, Boogie Bugs at Hook Community Centre. I headed up Little Fishes pre-school group for 7 years at my local church in Petersfield.

I like to communicate with parents to discuss & agree development goals for their little one and agree next steps to support learning and development.

I currently (June 2024) care for lovely family with a 3 year old & new baby in Hartley Whitney, due to maternity leave family will no longer need me. I also care for twins aged
13 months and three year old.

I am fully Early Years (EYE) trained for 0-5 year olds. I support all 7 areas of learning including communication, physical development, social development (expressing feelings, emotions).

I am looking for a family who require childcare approx no more than 10 miles from Hook, I have cared for families in Odiham, North Warnborough, Fleet, Hook, Rotherwick, Riseley, Basingstoke, Winchester and I know these areas well.

I’m calm, organised, fun, energetic, reliable, trustworthy and honest. I very much get stuck in from day one…I’m hard working, I invest time keeping little ones happy & safe.

From October 2021 I cared for RAF family in Odiham…4 boys aged 11 months to 12 years. I have twins experience working with a family for 4 years in N. Warnborough.

During lockdown I worked with several families, supporting children with home schooling, children’s aged range from Year R to Year 6.

I have heaps of knowledge and experience working with parents and children. I’m paediatric first aid trained, I hold enhanced DBS and subscribed to the update service. I am trained and knowledgeable in Food Safety and I encourage healthy eating. I hold clean driving license for over 40 years. My car is safe and reliable.

Child safety is highly important, I risk assess outings/settings/play parks for child safety. I can offer support and recommendations to ensure child’s house is safe and child friendly.

I update my knowledge on Safeguarding children and child safety regularly.

I can provide references immediately should they be required from 2 of my existing families.

I’m fit & healthy, I exercise regularly I attend local gym, I have loads of energy.

My hobbies include gym workouts, reading, dress making, baking, music, cruising with my family/travel. I attend St John’s church, Hartley Whitney.
