About Me
A BIT ABOUT US - Susan & Samantha
We are both fully Ofsted registered & have recently been inspected with an Outstanding grade.
We both hold Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificates & are both DBS check. We follow the EYFS program when interacting and exploring new things with the children, we try our best to introduce new activities all the time & focus on different themes each month including all ages of children, we go on as many trips as we can such as Lea Valley Park Farm as well as our local parks, soft play centres and local children's centre. We also attend sessions at Little City which is a franchise focusing on Role & Imaginative play for 0-6 years.
We have decided that we will be looking after 0-5 year old children & prepare all children for life at school.
Susan: I am very experienced with children of all ages & have taken care of children from as young as 6 months old & I help all the children get "school ready" with independence & confidence. I have built lovely relationships with all the children I have cared for and it is always a pleasure watching them all grow up. I do my best to provide a Home from Home approach and help each just feel nurtured & confident in themselves, I find this makes the children thrive in everything they set out to do.
Samantha:
I do my best to make learning fun for all the children & help them feel confident & safe in everything they try to do, my aim is to make sure every child is happy & help each child reach their own personal milestones & feel independent when doing them too.
I build lovely friendships with all the children at our setting and find this helps them learn & grow.
My Experience
Sue: I have 31 years experience of being a childminder, as well as raising my own two daughters who are now in their 30's. I am also a grandmother to 6 beautiful boys.
For 7 years, I have been running a childminding business from my home in Cheshunt with my daughter Samantha. Previous to this I worked with my mum and sister, at my mums house in Broxbourne. I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safe Guarding certificate and a Health & Safety certificate.
Samantha: I have been a working with children for 16 years and also have 3 children of my own. I was a dance teacher before becoming a Childminder, I worked for a dance school & taught many Dance PE lessons at local primary/secondary schools. When i had my 2nd son i started working as a childminders assistant with my Mum and now I have been fully Ofsted registered with an outstanding grade. I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safe Guarding certificate and a Health & Safety certificate. I also have a Level 3 Childminding qualification.

We are really lucky to have found Sue as a childminder for our daughter. We had an awful experience with the nursery and Elsa was not happy at all and could not settle there.
With Sue it's the opposite, she is caring and loving and that's what a 12 months baby girl needs! Elsa is very happy and so are we!
We could not compare her with any other childminders we met! What a relief and a peace of mind! Thank you so much Sue and Sam!
Looking forward to many more years of fantastic childcare for Elsa!

I am a first time mum so leaving my daughter was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but from the get go Sue and and her daughter made us feel very welcome in their home. Olivia was only 9 months old when she went for her settling in sessions then 10 months when I left her to go back to work. Olivia voluntarily puts her arms out for Sue when we arrive in the mornings and is always so happy when I pick her up in the afternoons. Her house is very tidy and child friendly, she has a lovely art display in her kitchen that shows off all the children's arts and crafts activities.
There is no better feeling or relief than knowing i am leaving my only child in safe hands. After my first meeting with Sue and her daughter I never bothered to view any other childminders.
Thanks for taking such good care my little one! Here's to many more years of amazing childcare provided for Olivia.

I have left a review before but need to add an update. Zanna has had to start nursery so now left the childminder earlier than planned due to personal circumstances.
zanna settled in well at the nursery but missed Sue and her friends there throughout her first week. Now she is fully into the nursery set up but still talks about Sue and her friends there. I am so grateful for the what Sue and Sam and Leanne do with the kids because I believe Zanna got off to a flying start with them. I recommend this childminder to any parent who wants the best for their kids. When Zanna gets a sibbling, I will surely bring them to Sue!! ❤

When my maternity was coming to an end, I was very worried about finding the right childcare for my daughter. After shopping round nurseries and childminders in Cheshunt area, I settled for Sue and Leanne. It is one of the best decisions I have made so far!
Zanna was only 5months when she started with Sue. She will be 2years in a few days and she still attends. From day one, my baby found peace and happiness there. They show genuine love and care for every child. The place is very neat and clean too. Zanna has developed and learnt a lot while going there. Zanna always looks forward to going there. I will write a booklet on the good things if I could. I will recommend Sue and Leanne any day any time. I still cannot think of any better place for Zanna.
