About Me
Hello, my name is Debbie Chappell. I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, married to Terry and we have 2 'children' aged 25 and 28. We also have a very friendly Cavapoo called Alfie who is 12 years old and very cuddly. Both me and Terry have grown up in Hadfield and we love it here. We own a semi-detached house in the middle of Hadfield which is very close to all schools. We have a patio area for trikes, sandpit, basketball, football etc and a grassed area for games and gardening. Graded Good in all areas on my latest ofsted inspection and aim to continually improve. I provide a fun, safe and welcoming home environment for your child to thrive in. I ensure that the individual needs of all children in my care are being met. I consider my home to be an extension of their home and aim for all children to feel as happy and secure here as they would in their own home. I offer all children in my care the tools they need to stimulate, explore and have fun playing and learning with me and other children. We make use of our local toddler groups, we use the local parks and surrounding countryside for nature walks, exploring and picnics. We use our local library and our local surestart nursery childminder group.
I also offer before and after school care and school holidays. The schools I offer drop offs and pick-ups from are: Hadfield Nursery School, Hadfield Infants School and St Andrews C of E School.
In my spare time I love to read, cook, walk around our gorgeous local countryside and just spend time with my family.
My Experience
Being a mum of two, I have been childminding for 28 years, since my son was born. Since then I have cared for many children aged between 3 months to 11 years. Many of these children have stayed with me from babies right up to them starting senior school which is lovely to be a part of and they always come back to see me now and again. I work with children to help them develop and progress through all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. I am registered on both the childcare register and the early years register.

Level 3 Childcare
CRB Certificate for myself, husband and children.
St Johns Ambulance Early Years First Aid (OFSTED approved)
Introduction to Early Years Foundation Stage
Safeguarding Children and Yound People
Additional Needs Introductory Course
CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety (Essential Food Hygiene)

7.30am - 6pm Monday - Thursday.
Term time and some school holidays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are £40 per child for day care/ £5 per hour.
Before and after school care £5 per hour
School holidays £40 full day/£5 per hour
Meals - I provide breakfast each morning and snack after school each afternoon. I ask that parents provide a packed lunch for children who are with me for day care.

Debbie has looked after both of my children from 9months old. They are now 5 and 8 and still go to her occasionally in the school holidays purely because they love going, not because I need childcare! This speaks volumes and shows just how amazing Debbie is. She is kind, gentle and very trustworthy. She sends updates and follows your child’s interests, which is lovely. She also has a great understanding of the Early Years curriculum. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my children.
