About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with a DBS and public liability insurance with Childcare.co.uk Insurance. I have all the relevant qualifications needed when working with children including my BA (hons) in Childhood Study.
I am really enjoying the job and all the challenges that it brings with it. I live on the north side of Hereford, with my husband who also has an enhanced DBS and my youngest daughter, I have an older daughter that does not live at home any more and another daughter at University. I have got two cats, one dog and two rabbits so I wouldn't be able to take on any children who have any allergies as it would not be fair on the children.
As well as Childminding I have also had experience at running a crèche for the Herefordshire Nature Trust Wildplay while they were running training sessions.
During COVID-19 I opened up and Managed the Childminding Hub at Greencroft Children's Centre with four other childminders providing care and support to key workers and vulnerable children.
I am currently also an Area Lead for the Department for Education Childminding Mentorship Scheme they are running to support childminders alongside my own childminding business.

My Experience
I have been childminding since September 2009 and I am used to looking after several children ages ranging from 7 months to 11 years as well as my own children who are 10, 18 and 20 years old. I am constantly learning and enjoying at the same time.
Running a crèche for Wildplay with four staff and several children, managing the Childminding Hub with staff and children, managing the Childminding Support hub, managing four mentors as an Area Lead offering support and mentorship to other childminders.

My Availability
My opening hours are 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday but I can be flexible depending on what is needed. I am now fully booked until September 2026, but can add you to a waiting list if you would like.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My fees cover all the care and resources for your children, all the snacks through the day (not lunch or dinner). It also covers all the costs of trips to children's groups/centres and also outings such as Play Planet, castles, walks in forests/woods and parks and the butterfly park and maze. If it is a more expensive trip than usual, I would ask for some money towards it if you were happy for your child to go, but this is very rare.

Carla had my son from 5months - 2yrs 2months, when he moved to nursery when I moved jobs. He thrived and we were truly sorry to move him on. Carla always takes them out and on great trips. He has grown into a caring and kind little boy, we owe a lot to Carla and her family for their influence.

Thank you so much for the lovely review you have left me. I loved looking after your little boy for the time I had him as did all my family, thank you so much for giving us that opportunity to care for him and hope to stay in touch with you all.
Carla looked after our daughters, aged 10 months and 2 years, while we were attending a friend's wedding in Hereford. She was absolutely fantastic. Nothing could faze her, including grumpy toddlers in unusual surroundings! As a result, we had a fantastic, relaxed day, and our older daughter still talks about her and the songs they sang together. We're just so sad that she doesn't live closer to our home town!!
