About Me
HI - I am an Ofsted registered childminder and a member of the National Childminding Association based in Birtley, Co. Durham. I am 33 years old.
I have been childminding since deciding to return to work after having my daughter and I am loving every minute! I have always worked with children and couldn't ever see myself doing anything else!
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder for a little over a year now since I had a child of my own. I have now been working with children for over 16 years, including as a nursery manager and as an early years advisor for local authorities.
My home is very child centred, in a quiet cul de sac in Birtley. Children have the opportunity to tkae part in many activities during their time here, including indoors and outdoors and visits to song and rhyme groups and the library etc. as well as lots of messy play and fun at home!
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure I support children to reach their full potential, but this is all done in a relaxed, safe and enjoyable environment. My highest priority is that the children are kept safe and happy!!
All meals, drinks and snacks are fresh, highly nutritious and form a balanced diet appropriate to the ages and stages of the children in my care. (Although we have the odd treat with parents permission!)
My Qualifications
I qualified as a nursery nurse 15 years ago and since then have attended training consistently to stay up to date. I also hold a degree and am close to achieving the status of Early Years Professional.
I have up to date training in child protection, first aid, food hygiene.
My Availability
I have limited availability for children under five and some vacancies for before and afterschool care.
My core hours are 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday but can consider hours outside of these by negotiation.

My Fees
My rates are £3.50 per hour / £28.00 per day (7.30 to 5.30) / £125 for a full week. This includes all meals snacks and drinks while children are in my care.
Before and Afterschool sessions are available for most Birtley schools - please enquire for more details.
