About Me
My name is Emma, I am a registered childminder working from my home in North Shields, I have a large, child friendly enclosed garden.
I have recently been graded outstanding by ofsted.
I love my job and enjoy seeing the children grow and learn. I offer an educational, home from home environment where all children are welcome and cared for like one of my own.
As a group we enjoy attending soft plays, stay and play sessions, library's, parks, museums and many more indoor and outdoor activities.
At home I encourage children to take part in a variety of activities including, arts and crafts, play doh, baking, building, roll play activities and other lots of free play.
My Experience
I have 4 children of my own which i have gained a lot of life skills experience through, I feel this is an invaluable skill to have.
As a childcare provider, I have been a childminder for 13 years and also worked in nurseries and schools.
During this time i have looked after children from birth to 14 years of age.
I have Experience of working with twins and also children with special educational needs.
My daughters had several food allergies and intolerances, I feel I have a good knowledge of these areas.
My Qualifications
I currently participate in various webinars and face to face training to ensure my knowledge is always up to date.
I am ofsted registered and hold the following qualifications:
How to set up home based child care
Level 2 and level 3 in child care
Paediatric first aid
Safeguarding
Autism awareness
My Availability
I am available from 7am to 5.30m Monday to Friday. I also offer holiday only care, after school care and term time only contracts.
I also offer government funding.
I currently only have space on a Thursday and Friday and have a waiting list available for other days.

Emma has looked after my little boy since he was 16 months old and my girl 5 years old( school drop offs and holiday care).They were both made welcomed, happy and never had a problem to leave them with Emma. In fact, H ask from time to time when she can go and play at Emma's. It makes me really happy as H has special needs and doesn't find new people and surroundings easy.
Emma takes kiddies to playgroups and on little trips and I always look forward to photos.She's super organised and keeps me on track with all the paperwork and other things.
Emma is a kind and caring person and I simply couldn't think of a better childminder for my boy.

My little girl has been going to Emma since she just turned 1, she's 2 and a half now. She was welcomed into Emma's family from the off and absolutely loves going there. Everyone tells me how bright and clever my daughter is and I've got to be honest and say a large part of that is down to Emma. She made me feel so comfortable and was really understanding about how hard it is to leave your baby with someone else for the first time, and has always kept in touch with me, sending photos and updates of what my daughter is getting up to throughout the day. Emma's three children are lovely too and an absolute credit to her. I'm due to have my baby boy in the next few weeks and already have Emma lined up for when I have to go back to work next year. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I first started using Ladybird back in October 2014 for my then 16 month and 4 year olds. Straight away they were made to feel welcome and were given lots of fun things to do. Now they are 2.5 and 5.5 and still receive excellent levels of care. My 2 yo is with Ladybird 5 days per week and loves every minute of it. Loads of fun and educational activities, I can't think of a day when they are in the house. She has been incredibly accommodating of my situation and provides a warm and loving family environment which she shares with my girls.
I have no hesitation in recommending her. Many thanks.
