About Me
Hello! My name is Claire , and I’m a dedicated childcare professional with over 13 years of experience working with young children. I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and have completed a Foundation Degree in Early Years. I’m also trained in Pediatric First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene.
Over the years, I’ve worked in various nursery settings, including as a Room Leader in both the 1–2 and 2–3 year age groups, and I’ve also spent time working in a preschool environment. After gaining three years of experience in a preschool, I began my journey as an Ofsted-registered childminder—a role I’ve been passionate about for the last five years.
I currently offer funded childcare and operate my setting from Tuesday to Friday. As a mum to a 12-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter, I understand firsthand how important it is to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Childminding is more than just a job for me—it’s a calling. I love being able to support children’s development in a home-from-home environment and build meaningful relationships with both the children and their families.
My Experience
16 years experience of working with children under the age of 5. I have spent a lot of time looking after children and have experience working with all ages, from as young as 6 months old.
I have been a room leader in 1-2 and 2-3 year old rooms. I have managed a team and ran a busy childcare room. I have also worked in a preschool for 3 years as well for children from 2-5.
I have been childminding since 2020. I’m fully registered and have a full DBS.
I have a foundation degree in early years.
My Qualifications
With over 16 years of hands-on experience in early childhood care and education, I have worked extensively with children under the age of five, including infants as young as six months. My background includes leading rooms for both 1–2 and 2–3-year-olds, managing busy childcare environments, and supervising staff teams to deliver high-quality care and learning experiences.
I also spent three years working in a preschool setting with children aged 2–5, supporting their development through structured play, early education activities, and school readiness programs. Since 2020, I have been a fully registered and DBS-checked childminder, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home-based environment.
I hold a Foundation Degree in Early Years and am committed to creating positive, supportive spaces where young children can grow, learn, and thrive.
My Availability
I currently look after some children before and after school. My son is at secondary school and my daughter is at primary school.
