My name is Debbie Trathen. I am an Agency registered childminder and have been since February 2021. During my latest agency inspection (September2022) I was graded outstanding. Previous to this I was registered with OFSTED from November 2000 and at my last OFSTED inspection (April 2016) I was also graded outstanding.
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder since november 2000, working jointly with my sister who has been in the childcare profession for over 30 years! We run a friendly and well organised setting proving opportunities, indoor and out for the children to learn through play. We follow the EYFS, enabling us to plan for each child individually and provide activities following their interests. This includes weekly phonics sessions,a mindfulness session and a mini sports/balance bike session which is all included within the fees.
For older children who attend in the holidays, we also provide tennis camp or multi sports sessions, again included in fees.
My Qualifications
We are both qualified in childcare, my sister up to level 4 and I have a BA(hons) degree in early years. We are also first aid trained and regularly attend courses such as safeguarding, food, health and safety etc in order to improve our practise.
We have experience in caring for children aged from 3 months up.
My Availability
We have an unexpected early years vacancy for January 2024 for full or part time care.
Our next expected early years (0-5) childminding vacancy will be from September 2024 with the options to start settling in previous to this.
We also have some availability term time only for before and after school places.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Please contact us for exact prices, but as a rough guide we charge around £70 per day. If it is part time care you are looking for we would charge an hourly rate.
