About Me
I'm Becky and I have been a registered childminder since 2005. I live in the Mile Oak area of Portslade where we have access to local parks, farm and the wonderful countryside which is right on our doorstep.
I provide a home from home environment which helps the children to feel safe and secure. I have a large playroom just for childminding, which is full of all the toys and equipment to keep your little ones busy all day. I have lots of outdoor space, I have my own car which i use for taking the children on outings.
We love to go such places as the park, beach, playgroups, cafe, soft play, local farms and local drop in centers. We also meet up with other local childminders and have fun days out. I offer a wide range of fun-based activities which are also educational which cover all areas of the EYFS. these include arts, crafts, painting, drawing, cooking and baking, dancing, singing, ICT, the environment.
My Experience
I have 2 grown up children and I have been working as a childminder since 2005. I have a level 3 childcare qualification.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered and have a "good" rating.
I have a level 2 paediatric first aid.
I am DBS checked.
Level 3 childcare qualification
Early Years Professional development program 2024
I have completed the EYFS training.
I have completed the child protection and safeguarding for childminders course.
I have completed the equalities training for childminders.
I also have completed a food hygiene course

Becky has been looking after our little boy for nearly three years. We are so glad we found her. She is caring and her setting has a lovely family feel to it. She keeps us updated with pictures and messages and takes them on so many different adventures; to playgroups, the beach, soft play and many more, providing excellent learning opportunities for the children. Our son loves going there and it is invaluable as a parent feeling at ease leaving him in her care. Would highly recommend Becky’s House!

Becky has been caring for our children for the past six years, and she has truly been a blessing to our family. Her dedication and warmth have made her an integral part of our lives. Our children look forward to each day with her, and in all this time, there hasn't been a single morning when they weren't excited to go to her home. This level of enthusiasm speaks volumes about the genuine care and nurturing environment Becky provides.
As a working parent with the NHS, I depend on flexibility, and Becky has gone above and beyond to support us in this regard. She has been incredibly accommodating, allowing me to focus on my work knowing my children are in safe, loving hands. During school holidays, she organises activities and often plans exciting day trips, creating wonderful experiences for the children to cherish.
As our eldest prepares for senior school in 2026, they have expressed their desire to continue spending time with Becky—a true testament to her positive impact on their lives. We wholeheartedly recommend Becky to any parents seeking a kind, reliable, and devoted childminder. We are endlessly grateful for everything she has done for our children and for the peace of mind she has given us.

My daughter has been going to Becky’s house since she was a year old. It has been such a lovely experience from the start. Becky is so wonderful with the kids, they love being there and feel like part of the family. Becky’s experience was invaluable when it came to things like potty training. I would recommend Becky to anyone looking for a nurturing, supportive child minder.

Our son has been looked after by Becky for over two years now, but it’s telling that we as a family still talk about how lucky we feel to have found her. Becky truly goes above and beyond, providing stimulating play and learning opportunities but also taking an interest in who every child is as a person. Our son sees Becky’s house as a home-from-home, and as working parents the peace of mind that provides is truly invaluable. We would (and frequently do) recommend Becky to any other parents in the area looking for a childminder.

My boys absolutely loved attending Becky’s childminding… always something new to do and places to go… the environment is very welcoming like home from home… Becky is very kind caring fair and accommodating… she plans amazing trips and arts/crafts… was an amazing support for me and my family… highly recommend
