I am a 32 year old childcare practitioner with a passion for quality, proffessional and fun childcare and thoroughly enjoy providing children with learning opportunities through everything they do and helping them to develop in all areas; personally, socially and emotionally, enhancing their communication skills, literacy and language, their knowledge and understanding of the world, problem solving, mathematics, both physically and through expressive arts and design. I am a huge supporter of exploring everything outdoors, taking the inside out and creating opportunities in everything we do!
I am approachable and fun loving and have been told I have a natural rapport with children. I have a lot of experience working with all different types of people from all walks of life.
I am a trained first aider and have completed a number of other relevent courses as well and can provide certificates if any enquiries were made. I am qualified at degree level in childcare, playwork and education (level 5 equivalent) having graduated last year.
I am an animal lover, so am comfortable with helping out with dogs, horses, cats etc at families’ requests.
My Experience
I have worked with children for 15 years; previously worked full time in nursery settings for 6 years as a room supervisor.
I was a private nanny for a year and a half, taking care of baby twin boys and a little girl.
I worked in a Pre-School at a primary school in Cambridge while completing my degree and now have more flexibility and nanny for two families.
I also work at a Forest School.
Over the years I have had experience with children mainly between the ages of 3months-6 years of age. Twin experience and also have worked with children with additional needs. I am qualified to take care of children between the ages of newborn and 16.
My Qualifications
9 GCSE's grade A-C
English Language and Psychology AS level
Health, Social Care and Early Years National Diploma level 3 equivalent
NVQ Level 2 and 3 certificates in childcare and education
Level 2 Forest School
Foundation Degree in early years childcare playwork and education
First aid certificate
Clear DBS check
Various other relevent childcare courses for example;
-Safeguarding (child protection)
-Children thinking Mathematically Through Musical Experience (0-3)
-Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Semantic Pragmatic Disorder
