About Me
I am an OFSTED registered childminder and am married with 4 grown up children. I live in a large semi-detached house in Broughton Moor, with large rooms and substantial gardens. We have 3 cats - Jessy Cat, Gizmo and Ozzy.
I work with 3 assistants, Claire, Jane and Jonathan, who have been with me for a number of years now. Having assistants is a great asset to my setting and ensures the best care is given to all the children at all times. We all have full Paediatric First Aid training, as well as completing regular safeguarding training and food hygiene.
We provide a safe, secure, homely environment for the children to grow and thrive in.
We enjoy getting out for 'fun' walks with the children, this could be on the beach or just locally collecting leaves etc and to the local park. We have a great selection of toys, puzzles, games to suit all ages and the biggest 'arty' cupboard - gluing, painting, play-doh, beads etc. Our dining room doubles up as art and craft/ toy room so everything is available at all times.
We have a lot of outdoor space, with trees to climb, rope swings, lots of different ride ons, mud, sticks etc. and we get out as often as we can!
For older children there is access to the internet (with parental controls) and there is a switch console too.
We have prams and buggies to suit all ages and car seats for group 1 onwards.
We were inspected by Ofsted on 6th September 2022 and received a GOOD rating.
My Experience
I have been childminding for over 14 years now and have been caring for children ranging from 5 months to over 8 years of age. I love watching the children grow and develop when they are in our care, and it makes it the most rewarding job.
My Qualifications
I have completed all courses required by OFSTED to be registered and hold my first aid certificate as part of this.
My Availability
No vacancies until September 2026.
Parents sometimes find it difficult getting childcare just for a day or two a week but I have no problems with this.
We work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Thu.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
We charge £6.00 per hour, and if you would like us to provide snacks and lunch, there is a £2 charge per day.
