About Me
Hi. We are a non-smoking family living in Apperley, in need of some flexible help with occassional babysitting, enabling our youngest to access the community, and supporting our eldest to develop independant living skills. We have two delightful children, 20 and 14, one dog and some pet chickens. Previous experience of supporting young people with ASC and ADHD would be helpful. You will be kind, happy, proactive and resourceful. You may be working from our home or in the community.
My Requirements
School term times: 2- 5 hours/wk, flexibly by arrangement, mainly evenings and weekends. School holidays: roughly 5- 8 hours/wk flexibly to include long days for days out and possibly some evenings. (Some weeks more help needed, others less e.g. when family away on holiday).
This role might suit a teaching or social care student, or someone who enjoys being around young people and helping them to flourish.
You will need to be a driver, and happy to use your own car when necessary.
We would also love to hear from you if you feel you could just offer babysitting/respite support. This part of the role might suit an experienced older local person who enjoys spending time with children.
