About Me
Hello, my name is Annette and I am Ofsted Registered and have been been a Registered Childminder for over 20 years. I provide a safe and secure environment and actively encourage children to learn and develop their skills through fun and educational activities.
I have an exemplary record and outstanding inspection reports which are all available for your review.
I live off Isledon Road, Holloway (N7 Postcode), in a 3 bedroom house with a large garden which is secure and well equiped for children. I also have private parking facilities outside the front of my house for drop offs and pickups only.
I regularly take the children to the library and various local drop in centers that provide a wide range of activities with other children which helps to develop social skills. We go for picnics in the park and visits to the local farm as well as trips to London Zoo using my annual membership card. On those rainy days we enjoy lots of arts and crafts, dressing up and general fun and games with a full range of toys for all stages of development.
I am also the Chair of St Johns Parents and Carers Association which is a local drop in centre for parents and their carers in the Archway area. This group provides the local community with a wide range of facilities and activites including day trips for the under fives.
My Experience
I have worked in the following roles within Child Care starting with my own children. My children are all grown with their own careers.
I have been registered since 1995 and I work closely with social services and children in need which gives me immense job satisfaction.
I am currently chair person for Archway Children and Parents Association which enables me and the children I care for to have access to the latest E.Y.F.S curriculum.
I like to work closely with the parents to meet each child and families’ individual needs e.g. supporting working families, studying parents and children in need.
My Qualifications
I regularly undertake new training courses to ensure that I am fully up to date on all
childcare procedures at all times.
I completed my NVQ Level 3 in 2011.
I am OFSTED Registered and hold outstanding reports which are all available for your inspection.

I have been taking my daughter to Annette's for nearly 2 years now, which in itself is a good sign. She certainly knows how to keep her children happy and entertained but at the same time run a tight ship with her strong organisational skills are second to none. I often get a reminder text about timings and dates and I love the picture text with updates of fun activities and learning. Outings have included places such as the Park, the Zoo and Stay and Play. Annette has a kind, compassionate nature and is flexible and reasonable with arrangements. The fact that she has been doing this work for 20 years was very reassuring to hear and her calm temperament compliments her professionalism. My daughter enjoys her home cooking and the home from home environment. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, experienced and caring childminder.

Annette has been looking after my daughter since she was 6 months old and I couldn't have chosen a nicer childminder.
My daughter is starting big school in September and we will be sad to say goodbye to Annette but we will always keep in touch.
My child settled so quickly it really made the transition from maternity leave to going back to work so much easier knowing she was happy with Annette. Shortly after her 1st birthday we discovered she had a food allergy but that didn't faze Annette and she always made sure my daughter's dietary requirement were met and that she never felt excluded at meal or treat times.
Annette always had a variety of activities on the go and it was lovely watching my child blossom into the polite, funny and sociable little girl that she is today with an amazing vocabulary.
Annette always managed to be flexible whenever I was running late or needed a few minutes extra care and always kept me informed on how my daughter's day was and what they got up to which consisted of various drop in centres, library's, picnics in the parks and occasional trips to the zoo.
Annette was also happy to incorporate the governments 15 free hours a week, which really helped out my childcare cost!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Annette, she was part of our family for so long and always will be!

I feel blessed to have found Annette. I stumbled across her profile on here and I'm so glad I did. My son, who first went to Annette (Netty!) when he was 13 months old, has been full-time with her (7:30am-5:45pm, Mon-Fri) for 1 year and 4 months. The ONLY reason we are moving him is because we've moved out of the area. If we could take Annette with us we would.
Settling-in was very easy, and my son took to her environment very well. My initial impressions of her home were that it was perfectly safe and comfortable for children, and it was clear she puts them first. She constantly keeps her children busy, always out and about (which is really important), and is very keen to get them mixing with other kids at playgroups. She provides all meals and baby wipes (you have to provide nappies), and even spare clothes when there are sicky incidents.
There is discipline too! We've learn the art of "time-out" from Annette, and it works. Her house rules and regulations are utterly reasonable, and our son adheres to them just fine.
I've often said to my friends and family that Annette is like having a second mum (my family live far away). I always ask her advice (I am a first-time parent), and she has so much experience that there hasn't been anything she hasn't encountered before. Very useful!
She's flexible, happy, comforting, and my son adores her. Not to mention his love for the rest of her family! We are moving to a new childminder in a couple of weeks, and I'm very sad about it! We really don't want to lose Annette, and I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a well-experienced, lovely childminder.

Annette was recommended to me and from the moment I called round to see her with my 5month old son I knew I had found the childminder for us. Annette attends regular groups and is constantly attending courses in her spare time to keep herself up to date with all the regulations which gave me great confidence in her enthusiasm for the role. Shebecame part of my family and my son would often ask on a weekend if he could go to Nettie to play. I always knew he was in safe hands which made it easier for me to leave my child when I had to return back to work. He always loved his meal times which Annette would cook for him and I honestly cant recommend her enough.
