My Summary

My Experience

As my mother used to be a child minder, I have been surrounded by children between the ages of three months and twelve years since the age of two. This has meant that I have frequently had the opportunity to help out at toddler groups, music groups and messy play sessions etc. I have also been babysitting since I was around fourteen years old. Whilst at secondary school I undertook a babysitting course where I received certficiates in babysitting and first aid.

At school I also completed a course in youth coaching and volunteered at a school for teenagers with Special Educational Needs.

Additionally, I have had experience of helping out at three different schools. This included working with Foundation, Year One, Year Two and Year Four pupils.

I have also completed placements in the pre- school room and nursery of a children's centre. I have also helped out at the SEN group at this establishment which caters for children from 0 to 3 years and their siblings.

I have experience working at two different private day nurseries with children from 0 to 5 years.

I currently work at a playscheme and pre-school which caters for children between the ages of three and nine years. I absolutely love my job here and enjoy watching the children grow and develop.

Whilst working as a nanny between 2014 and 2019, I nannied for children from ages 6 months up to 10 year olds. This was a full on and busy but exhilarating job.

Other jobs I have held include waitressing for Oxford University at two different colleges and working for two catering companies at many different venues. I have also done much work for the council including electoral canvassing, poll clerking and counting at elections. These jobs have been highly useful in learning skills at working with the public.

My course in Early Childhood Studies has given me practical experience and has built up my knowledge on the early years.

My Qualifications

I have achieved 2 Cs and a D at A Level as well as two Cs at AS Level.

For GCSEs I achieved 3 A Stars, 4 As and 3 Bs.

I have achieved a 2:1 degree in Early Childhood Studies and also hold Early Years Professional Status.

My Availability

I am available to babysit any evening or during the weekend.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

I am happy to negotiate rates of pay but would generally ask for around £13+ gross per hour.
