About Me
Hi my name is Gemma Duck and I am a very caring and friendly individual. I absolutely love children and have always known childcare was my chosen career. A mummy myself I have 3 sons Joey, Jaxen and Dee-Jay and a daughter Jasmine.
I understand childcare and how important it is to you, I believe in settling children in properly and finding out as much about them as possible so I can care for them like you do. I am a very arty person, I love playing games and creating new things, I will be fun and loving but firm and fair. I have transformed the whole of the downstairs of my house to be a safe environment for babies and children, ensuring their safety at all times is as important as having fun. I enjoy cooking and all meals are homemade with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad on offer (as well as the odd treat).
I now have an After School Club at St Albans Church Dartford and a nursery setting very close to my childminding, the idea is to be available to care for your little ones from tiny babies all the way till they attend secondary school and soon my next venture will be a youth club for 11-14 year old so we can be there for them still as they grow.
Currently collecting from.... Dartford Primary Academy, and Fleetdown Primary, we can also collect from St Anselm's Primary School, Temple Hill Primary, The Brent and Oakfield.

My Experience
I have always cared for children on a regular basis from newborn up to 14 (the oldest now from my babysitting days) I completed a BTEC diploma in Childcare (2 years) at college when I left school,and then went on to work at Pontins holiday camp, Supervising and Organising childrens activities and running childrens clubs. I have cared for 2 boys now 14 and 12 since they were toddlers, 2 girls now 9 and 7 since newborn. I also worked as Kitchen Manager so understand the importance of Food Hygiene. I am now a mother to 4, auntie to quite a few more...
I have been childminding since 2012, and run an excellent childminding setting with 9 spaces for under 5's everyday, a mini nursery with up to 20 spaces and an After school club with 50 spaces collecting from 2 schools and run a fab fun holiday club. So many happy parents and children, please come and visit.
We have a fantastic reputation in the local area and all staff are now qualified or doing Apprentiships.

Please call to discuss. I am registered and able to recieve childcare vouchers if need be and set up to receive payments from Tax free childcare.

Gemma is a wonderful childminder, my daughter has been been with her since September 2012, My daughter is a very shy and takes time to adjust to a new environment and new people, but with Gemma, she instantly connected and enjoys being there and all the fun activities they are always doing. I would highly recommend Gemma, as she is very professional, flexible and reliable has lots of fun with the kids..

Gemma is a great childminder, flexible always happy to help out. She provides a safe, fun and friendly environment for my two boys to play. She has looked after the boys since August with early starts and late finishes and never complains. I would highly recommend Gemma to anyone that wants a reliable, stimulating and fun environment for there children.
