About Me
Hi, my name is Faye, I am a mother of 2 (girl 11 and boy 5). I am an honest, kind, patient & fun person. I live with my husband and children in a house in Highworth, with a garden and plenty of resources to cater for all age children.
I have been an ofsted registered childminder since February 21. I love the achievement of teaching children new skills, helping them to develop their own identities and building the foundation for later learning.
I have worked in childcare for the past 25 years and was a hands on deputy manager of a Montessori nursery in London for 10 years, before relocating to Wiltshire.
I aim to offer a safe, fun, educational home from home experience following the EYFS framework as well as introduction
to Montessori activities and approaches.
I enjoy creating new experiences and activities. Our days will include arts & crafts, cooking, messy play, small world activities, outings, water/sand play, story times, singing, role play and celebrating festivals to name but a few.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience working in different childcare settings.
I started my career in a holiday/afterschool club while in 6 form,
I then worked as a duty officer/manager in a leisure centre coordinating and running children's parties, creches and sports camps.
I became a nursery manager in 2007 at a term time only Montessori Nursery School in London, where I gained my Diploma in Modern Montessori and an NVQ3 in childcare. I was the SENCO and parent partnership leader also. During my term time only work I have also been a part time nanny for 2 families both long term and am still years later in contact with them. My most recent role was at a local nursery as a Nursery nurse which I worked at until having my son.
My Qualifications
Diploma in Modern Montessori, NVQ3 in childcare, learning and development, First aid, SENCO, child protection, Makaton, Food hygiene, Safeguarding, playworker level 2 and many one day courses.
My Availability
I am available 8am-6pm Mon-Thurs
Some flexibility in times can be considered.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Fees are inclusive of snacks and playgroups.

Our daughter has started with Faye when she was 6 1/2 months old and from day dot, She has been relaxed, no tears at drop off and has so much fun. Daughter now being 18 Months, She still loves every minute, gets excited on drop off and occasionally cries on leaving.. Just shows how much she really loves being with Faye.
Facilities at Fayes are fantastic. A range of area's for the kids to explore and not being excluded to one area, one thing I really liked about Faye's setting when viewing. No concern of Phoebe being bored and unable to play due to space.
Faye has helped so much and not just teaching her things, But some things that helped us as parents.
- Finding the right drinks bottle so she would drink more throughout the day.
- Trying different snacks, suggestion snacks/lunches and always accommodating with hot meals if provided.
- Always so welcoming, honest and parental reassurance, for us and her.
- Anything we have concerns about,Things we're wanting her to improve or learn, It's never too much for Faye.
Faye communicates throughout the day, with pictures and what she has been up to, as well as a daily diary of what she has eaten, Nappies changes and sleeping times. We also get made aware of any bumps/injuries before pick up with reassurance that she's okay and further updates if anything changes. Faye also Checks on car safety before travel - Rear or forward facing.
Our daughter is flourishing being at Faye's, Learning lots, coming home saying new words, Actions and movements. She has also gained from day's out and Baby/Toddler groups and we can see that with her confidence, Happy to go and play and not just sitting on our laps.
Choosing childcare for your child is always daunting and worrying whether you've made the right decision. With Faye, we know we have. Faye is an amazing childminder and we are so grateful to have her.

My daughter has been going to Faye for coming up to a year now. Faye is more than just a ‘child minder’ she has become part of our extended family. Whilst at work, I am reassured that my little girl is safe, respected and learning lots of new things with friends. Faye always goes above and beyond; my daughter can be very particular about what and when she eats and Faye always provides her with food and snacks that are healthy and she knows she will eat. Faye takes her to lots of different places, including a play group with others every Wednesday and regular walks and outdoor adventures that she absolutely loves. Throughout the day, I get regular updates on what they are up to. I know that safety is at the forefront of everything that Faye does and whenever my daughter has had a little bump or felt unwell, as children do, Faye has always contacted me and made me aware of the situation in full. Faye completes a daily diary every day which communicates with us exactly what she has been up too, how much she has eaten, her sleep & toileting. Since going to Faye, my daughter's development has come on so much. She is speaking, counting, singing and doing more than she could previously. Faye encourages independence and free exploration and my little one loves telling me about the things she does at Faye’s house. She loves the painting, crafts, stories, all the different busy boards & sensory activities etc…. I totally trust Faye with my daughter and I know she is doing everything in her ability to provide the best possible care and environment for my baby girl to thrive in. We would be lost with out her!
