About Me
Hi, my name is Alison and I provide childcare in a home based setting for babies and toddlers, children requiring before and after school care and during school holidays. Every opportunity is given so that children can learn, have fun and socialise in a safe and friendly environment. I like to take the children on regular outings which can be baby and toddler groups, indoor and outdoor play areas, countryside and forest walks and local events aimed at children of all ages.
I also have a large selection of toys, games, books and art and craft equipment which is all constantly updated as well as games consoles with age appropriate games for the school children.
I also have a Jack Russell dog called Stan who is very friendly and great with children.
I constantly strive to keep up to date with training courses to further my personal development as this has a positive impact on the children’s learning and wellbeing.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2004 and I am a mum to my grown up daughter.
I have had experience looking after very young babies to teenagers and I have also cared for children with a variety of special needs.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 Diploma in home based childcare (grade A), a currrent first aid certificate, a level 2 certificate in food hygiene and a level 1 certificate from STC (somerset total communication).
I also have certificates for various workshops and training days that I have done with the SCMA (Somerset Childminding Association) and SCIL ( Somerset Centre for Integrated Learning) including child protection and play workshops.
My Availability
Early years care for children in the 0-4 age range.
Before and after school care including drop off and pick up from Holy Trinity School, Yeovil.

My little one who was 7 months at the time was with Ali when I returned to work. I was very anxious about it all but knowing my baby was cared for in an loving environment made it much easier. Ali is great and goes out of her way to make sure the children are happy and cared for. My little one couldn’t wait to crawl off and play when I arrived at Alison’s house.
Happy,friendly, fun environment. Couldn’t recommend Ali enough.
