About Me
Hi, I'm Emma Milligan and I am an Ofsted registered Child minder and received a "GOOD" from my last Ofsted inspection. I live with my husband Scott and 2 children, Ethan 18 and Brodie 14. We have two lazy cats and a friendly dog who has her own outdoor area whilst I am working as not to allow contact with the children.
I recognise that every child is an individual and has their own needs and interests which I plan to meet through my activities and inline with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which will help your child reach their full potential in all areas of their development.
I love working with children of all ages and believe that children learn through play. My house is a very active fun house, we love nothing more than playing together and getting messy through arts and crafts, baking, playing games, singing, dancing, dressing up we do lots of outdoor activities bug and bear hunt (still looking for the Gruffalo), nature trails, walks in the woods and countryside we also attend local attractions parks (feed the ducks) farms, library and museums being outdoors promotes a healthy lifestyle giving the children fresh air, exercise and physical activity.
Children are encouraged to interact with their peers in different environments play groups, play centres and parks engaging the children in regular conversation.
The children in my setting have their own development files capturing their milestones and memories which is readily available for parents to view. I also fill in daily diaries giving you as much information on what your child has experienced whilst in my care I feel this enhances the contact between my setting and the child's home life making your child feel comfortable and yourself knowing that your expectations are being fulfilled.
I am also an Accredited Provider, which enables me to offer free 15/30 hours nursery provision to 3 and 4 year olds and any qualifying 2 year olds.
My Experience
Having two children of my own I have hands on experience dealing with different stages of a child's life.
My Qualifications
I have gained the following relevant qualifications
~ Level 3 diploma in childcare
~ Developing Quality Practitioners
~ Paediatric First Aid (updated every 3 years)
~ Introduction to Safeguarding Children
~ Level 2 in Food & Hygiene
I have undergone a enhanced Criminal Records check.
Full clean driving licence.
Full public liability insurance.
I have attended a Makaton course allowing me to contact children with difficulty in speech.
All certificates can be seen on request.
I attend training which is relevant to childminding and update my safeguarding knowledge regularly.
My Availability
I offer child minding between the following times
Monday ~Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm but I am flexible and hours outside these can be discussed individually and will be catered for whenever possible.

I offer a selection of contracts hopefully meeting everyone's requirements eg term time only, school holidays only, short and long term.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I charge from £4.00 per hour per child which I feel is competitive and includes healthy meals (where applicable), snacks and drinks.
Standing orders are acceptable and I do accept most of the Childcare Voucher schemes in operation, please ask for details.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at High Green Primary School
