Sallyann and Chris are wonderful childminders

Both my girls have gone to Sallyann and Chris for the last 4 years. They drop them off at school (Birch Hill primary) every day and fetch them after school. So they spend a lot of time together. Their time is structured and organised. The activities differ every day and are all age related. There is always laughter and fun and my two love going there. I always feel easy about going to work and leaving the girls in their care knowing they are happy and secure. Communications are always open and any issues are handled with care. Its a real home from home environment and I always feel lucky to have them so close to home.

Fun and caring childminder (and babysitter!)

Our son has been with Sallyann and Chris for 3 years now and they're amazing. They take the kids outs quite a lot and plan fun activities if at home with them.

They've always been open about everything, my son had a bit of a wobbly start and had days where he didn't really interact with anyone but rather than say nothing to 'save worrying me', they talked to me about it and we all worked through it together. He loves going to Chris and Sallyann's and you can tell the other little ones do too, there's always loads of smiles and snuggles.

I love the fact that they have a private facebook group that parents can opt into, I get to see all the adventures they go on!

The best of the best

Sallyann and Chris are two of the most lovely, patient, kind and caring people I have ever met. My daughter started going to them when she was 18 months and is now 2.5 so about a year. She warmed to them straight away and the setting is like a home from home. My daughter has learned numbers 1-10 to count and recognise on paper as well as around 10-12 letters, phonics and social skills. Not only do they have an amazing home setting, Sallyann and Chris also take the children out to some fab places such as farms, soft play, parks, on local walks, to feed the ducks and many more. All food is included in their hourly rate which is also very reasonable compared to other childminders in the area. I would recommend them to anyone and I am due with number 2 who I also hope they’ll have space for over the coming months.

Exactly what you want from child care

Both of my children attended the Downey household for childcare and both of them absolutely loved it! They offer great peace of mind knowing that your children are enjoying themselves and learning under fantastic, responsible and caring supervision whilst you are at work. Communication to me is key in feeling confident that your children are safe and happy in your absence and they certainly offer that. If it weren't for our relocation my children would undoubtedly still be with them.
In summary they are fantastic child care providers that will be very hard to beat!

Great home from home care

Sally ann and Chris were very attentive to the children who visited parks and enjoyed homely meals whilst in their care. Kids came back talking about the unusual collection of animals and enjoyed their time there.
Recommend and did reuse their services -reflecting the quality of their care. Thanks
