I am a childminder of many years experience. I was brought up in a childminding house as my Mum was and still is a childminder and many of the children I was brought up with have become life long friends. So I understand the importance of providing a loving caring environment. I was a Nanny for many years to the same family and prior to my joining them had looked after children in other families until their children reached school age.. I took a break to raise my own children who are now in full time school. I have a large selection of toys both inside and garden toys. We have lots of outings to toddler groups,soft play and local parks.We also have a very small friendly dog called Betty! She is never in the room with the children though!I follow EYFS to further children in their development,preparing them for their school years.I have a cache level 3 diploma in early years..
I had an Ofsted inspection this February 18 with a good outcome. If you are interested in my setting I would be happy to email it to you.
My Experience
I have many years experience. I have cared for children who are profoundly disabled. I understand how difficult it is for parents to find the right person to care for their children so I am able to provide excellent references from parents past and present.I have a great understanding of EYFS and use it in my setting.

I have a St Johns First Aid Certificate.

As a family we consider ourselves lucky to have found Debbie.we knew straight away that she was the right person for a young boy coming out of lockdown as her kind, caring and professional manner stood out ahead of others.
Her knowledge and understanding of early years practice is outstanding.
Debbie provided an amazing home away from home for our son. It was great dropping him off knowing he was there.
Her house is very tidy and family focused environment but a professional with a large range of toys and activities
Her house was always amazingly clean and Lochlan would come out spotless at the end of the day (how she did this we still don't know!)
We received regular updates and communication via what's app which was excellent. We found it really easy to communicate with Debbie and she made herself available when we needed advice. She really helped us with a very active young man who would not sleep. Lochlan really settled in well and we were amazed to see how much he thrived. His manners, sleep, listening, eating all improved so much under Debbie's care.
We were concerned about late speech which Debbie really focused on with Lochlan and the results now he is about to start pre school are clear. His speech, phonics and reading have actually surprised us.
Debbie really helped Lochlan open up his world with trips, Playgroup. We always felt safety was paramount with her as she risk assessed everything and has an incredible structure to her days.
We cannot recommend her enough and if we could move her to the north with us we would.

Our daughter was with Debbie and all I can say is that we all loved her!! She is such an angel and taking good care of the kids! I trusted her 100% and my daughter loved to be with her and the other kids.
She gets all the stars because that’s what she deserves!

Having previously interviewed quite a few cm’s, I’m so glad I came across Debbie who ticked all the boxes. My then little one was so happy to be in her care. There was always a variety of activities, days out and meals provided with encouragement to try new foods as little one’s can be fussy! Updates were always provided via photos etc putting my mind at ease. Overall I highly recommend Debbie.

Debbie has been amazing childminder to our young son, from Sept 2019 when he was 1 to July 2022 his last year before starting school. The last 3 years have been a pleasure and would love to come back in the future! We see her as a second mum to our son as she treats him as if she would her own lovely children.
We would highly recommend her service to all family and friends for any childcare needs.
From the start we knew she was the perfect match four our little baby boy, They seemed to be best friends from their first meeting.
-She’s always happy and smiling at drop off and pick up
- amazing communication call/text/WhatsApp, photo updates, messages to inform how the days go, activities done.
- accommodating to our schedules needs and wants(nap times, routines, etc)
- meals, daily Activities, childcare groups and fun walks to parks in the local area.
- applicable for 30hrs government funding to due to her Ofsted registration
Our son has blossomed in her amazing care, from developing his social skills, numeracy, reading and writing and so many more.
Thank you for all your hard work, love care and affection looking after and our son!

We were so pleased to have found Debbie, we met several people who all seemed great but we both agreed immediately that she was the right person for our daughter Amelie. Right from the start we had regular updates on all the fun things they got up to at home during lockdown and then all the fun adventures when things opened up again. They would go to playgroup, trips to the garden centre at Christmas, all sorts of different parks around the area and every day Amelie would tell us what a lovely time she had. Debbie always gave us updates via WhatsApp so we could see what they were making or doing. Her house was always spotless, she was very flexible when we were late and even said she would be happy for us to drop Amelie off at night if needed when we were expecting her brother! She always has a smile and time for a chat and we look forward to bumping into her out and about locally. I can't recommend her highly enough and would be very happy to speak to anyone and provide a reference.
My only reservation about writing this review is that I worry she won't have space for our son when we are ready to look for childcare!
A truly lovely person and Amelie is sad to have left for nursery full time.
I have given 5 stars for food - even though we cooked for Amelie due to the pandemic Debbie was really helpful at encouraging her to try new things that we put in her lunchbox, and always gave us feedback on how much she had eaten for dinner.

Debbie has cared for our son 5 days a week since he was 9 months old, he settled quickly and has loved spending time at Debbie’s. Debbie takes excellent care of him, she makes sure there are activities for him and adapts what the other slightly older children do so that he can join in with them and she’s helped him reach developmental milestones. We get daily updates and its lovely to see photos of him! I am confident that he is in excellent hands – I never worry about how he’s getting on when I’m at work- and I feel like he really is at a home from home.

My 2 years and a half old son loves going to Debbie 5 days a week. He settled in straight away and loves the day to day activities. Being in Debbie's care has been total peace of mind, and I can go to work knowing that my little one is in very good hands. I am extremly grateful for all the help she has provided, cannot thank her enough.
She always keeps me updated, sending pictures of day to day activities, cooks them nice meals.
She is absolutely amazing!!

As a parent going back to work and leaving your baby is one of the hardest things to do! I searched high and low for the perfect person to entrust my most precious little bundle, then I found Debbie. Here’s why I choose her and couldn’t recommend her high enough:
- She is loving and caring and treats the children like her own (her own children are also such lovely kids. Testament to her excellent parenting skills).
- She’s happy, smiley, fun and energetic
- She’s so accommodating to a parents needs, regular updates, pictures, milestones, routine etc whatever you need/want
- She cooks proper meals and even takes them out for treats on occasions (she always asks if that’s ok first)
- Her house is always clean and tidy
- She really helps with their learning and development and encourages a child’s capabilities. My little one is 18 months old, she counts, she sings she knows her colours and turning into a right little chatter box.
I could go on and on. At the end of the day it comes down to absolute trust and peace of mind and Debbie gives me both.

Not a day goes by when I leave for work after dropping my nearly 3-year-old daughter at Debbie's, that I do not thank my lucky stars for finding her on this website! Debbie has now looked after my daughter full time since she was 1 and the care she has received from Debbie has helped her develop into a loving, caring intelligent little girl. Debbie is very personable, caring and do so many activities with the children in her care that they are never bored and learn so many different skills. Let's put it this way my daughter is so happy and comfortable at Debbie's, that she at times during a weekend will ask to go to Debbie's house!
As a full time working parent it was hard for me to leave my 'last baby' in the care of someone else, but Debbie made the transition so much easier. I have had childminders in the past that were so unreliable and frequently off sick; however, this has never been an issue with Debbie, she is always reliable and I have never had any of those dreaded early morning phone calls that used to set me into a panic trying to find last minute childcare.
Debbie is one of the friendliest people you will meet and she is always trying to accommodate any requests. I do not know what I would have done without her!
I would recommend her fully to any parent looking for a nourishing, happy and stable care environment.
