About Me – Luan’s Little Stars
Hello, my name is Luan and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Mansfield (Forest Town). I’ve been working as a childminder for 17 years and hold a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD).
I live in a detached home with a secure, child-friendly garden – the perfect space for little ones to explore and play safely. We enjoy regular outings to local parks, toddler groups, farms, and nature walks, helping children connect with the world around them.
At home, I offer a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, messy play, singing, and story time. I use puppets and instruments to make learning fun and engaging, encouraging each child’s curiosity and creativity.
My dedicated playroom is filled with toys, games, and books that are always accessible to the children, and I also have a large selection of outdoor toys to support active play.
Above all, I strive to provide a caring, loving, and high-quality environment where children feel happy, safe, and supported as they grow and develop.
Each child has their own Tapestry account where I track their development through observations and photos, giving parents a clear and personal insight into their child’s progress.
My Experience
With 17 years of dedicated childminding experience, I have built a strong reputation for providing high-quality care in a warm, nurturing environment. Over the years, I have organised and led several childminding groups in the local area, supporting both children and fellow childminders through shared activities and learning opportunities.
I work closely with the local community, including, nearby schools, libraries, and churches, to create enriching experiences that support each child’s development and sense of belonging.
I am committed to professional development and regularly update my training and qualifications to ensure my knowledge stays current with best practices in early years care and education.

I will continue to go on regular training courses to gain relevant knowledge for my career and adapt my childcare skills.
My Availability
Limited availability for September 2025.
If you need childcare only during school holidays, I have openings throughout the year. During the holidays, we visit local parks, farms, play areas, and enjoy a variety of fun activities.
Government funding is accepted.

We send our son to Luan twice a week and we are extremely happy with the childcare we have received we are always receiving updates on how he is and the activities they are doing. He is always so happy when he comes back from Luan and always has so much to tell us. I couldn’t recommend Luan enough for the service she provides.

I can not recommend Luan enough, she is amazing at her job and made us feel so welcome. My little boy has come on leaps and bounds since he first started with Luan, he loves the days he has with her and his friends he has made since being at the setting. He very much looks forward to ‘Luan days’ and he is always out on different adventures and outings! Through out the day I receive photos of him having the best time, and it defiantly reassures me and my partner that we made the right decision to send him to Luan.
Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a childminder, Luan really goes above and beyond for everyone in her setting.
We are very pleased and happy with the care we have received.
