About Me
We are Lorna and Michelle two Ofsted registered childminders, working together in Tadworth, Epsom.
We were both graded as OUTSTANDING 2015/2016 and met all Ofsted requirements on their latest inspection (2022).
We are DBS checked and both have Paediatric First Aid training
Although there are two of us, we charge no extra than a single childminder fee (two for the price of one!)
As a mother a daughter team, we provide a very warm, friendly and safe environment for children. Being creative, artistic individuals ourselves, we are always thinking up lots of new and interesting activities to stimulate and engage inquisitive young minds, helping them to learn and develop new skills.
We follow the EYFS, providing daily diaries and termly assessments, to record children's progress.
It is important to us that each child enjoys their time in our care, we provide a wide range of experiences and activities which are planned around the particular interests of the children and their developmental stage. We make good use of the great outdoors, giving the children fresh air, space and freedom to explore ideas and interests in the natural world.

Lorna and Michelle have been looking after my son since Christmas when he was 8 months old, and if we weren't relocating up north, he'd be with them until he went to school.
He has positively loved spending time with Lorna & Michelle, they were forever inventing new things to do and new places to go and see, and he will miss them both, and the other little friends he's made at Little Birdies, very much.
They would take him to parks, soft play areas, singing & dancing 'classes' and all sorts of different activities.
I can't emphasise enough how much L&M genuinely care for their charges, and it's a lovely, fun, safe & interesting place for any young baby or child to spend their days. As I said, I am so very glad my son was lucky enough to be cared for by L&M and we will definitely be keeping in touch.
