My Summary
About Me
Hi, I am a NNEB Qualified Ofsted registered childminder with 38 years experience in childcare with a variety of age groups from babies to teenagers
I live with my husband Paul and our son Ollie in Desborough with our 2 cats and Frenchie. Our home has an enclosed rear garden overlooking trees and fields. We like the outdoors and music.
Paul is registered as my assistant and has Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates. We also work part-time with another assistant who is just starting out in the world of childcare but already has her DBS check, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, Managing Behaviour certificates.
The children have the opportunity to explore, engage in free play as well as adult-led planned activities such as craft, messy play, cooking, gardening, construction etc. We also have a quiet area where the older children are able to do their homework with the help of reference books and closely supervised wi-fi internet.
Home-cooked meals are provided that are planned in advance ensuring healthy eating, allergies, religions, life-style and parental preferences are catered for.
I am able to collect from Havelock Infants and Junior Schools, Rothwell Victoria Nursery, Infants and Juniors, Loatlands Nursery, Sunshine Pre-school. Also I am willing to consider collections from other local schools, nurseries and pre-schools.
My Experience
After completing my NNEB I began my career as a nanny to 4 children, then moved into private day nurseries where I worked for 15 years starting as a Nursery Nurse moving upwards spending 8 years as a Nursery Manager in large nurseries. My career then took a change in direction and I worked for 6½ years as a NVQ Assessor assessing students for their NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development.
Throughout my career i have worked with many different families and as a parent myself juggling work, child, and family life i understand the feelings and pressure felt by working parents in finding good quality, affordable child carers they can trust.
I have been a registered childminder since the beginning of 2010.

Definitely wouldn’t use this couple,I’ve never found two people so rude.My daughter is very funny around other men which I explained this to the lady, she then got funny with me and every question I was asking so became rude with me,I also explained my daughter can be funny with breakfast and I would be happy to pack her with this.Well I got a very rude NO I’m not having that it’s my breakfast cereal or nothing!! As it’s not fair on the other children. So she would prefer my daughter went hungry,I said politely this wasn’t for me and my daughter and she basically chucked me out of the house and slammed the door behind me.
