About Me

I have found a position to cover all my days. Thanks for looking.

Hi mums and dads, my name is Txell Macia, I’m a Spanish professional nanny and I’m 39 years old.

I’m looking for a 1 or 2 part time day sole charge position (preferably Monday or Tuesday)

I have a job in Balham for 3 days a week from Wednesday to Friday looking after twins boys 1 year old and their 2 brothers 3 and 6 years old. So I have plenty experience with babies and twins with multiple children.

I also did a job with a family of 5 covering summer weekdays for their 3 and half year old boy and 1 and half twins boys.

In my other position I was working with 2 amazing families. One of of 4 in Mitcham for 3 days a week and I took my 3 year old daughter with me for a year, which she made a beautiful friendship with them, but she has now started preschool. So in my next position I will need to ask if I can bring her with me when she is in half term (not always) as we have no family in England.
I will be finishing with them on 21st of July as mum will be having another baby and will be on maternity leave and won’t need my services anymore.

My second position was on Mondays and Tuesdays with a 3 month old baby girl in Streatham for 6 months but grandma got closer to them and is now gonna fill my position so I’m not longer needed.

I have been living in London for 15 years, first in Beckenham Junction as an au-pair. I now live in Carshalton (circle),really close to Sutton and Morden and easy to travel to Wimbledon or Sutton by Tram, bus or car.

I've been working with children all my life, mostly in Catalunya, Spain. I started nannying when I was 16 with a 3 month old baby and her 5 year old sister. I left when the baby started nursery. I was with another family, taking care of their son of 3.5 months until he was almost 2. I also had some other nanny positions of shorter periods. I have experience working with children of all ages, directing and organising activities in holiday camps in different farm schools with large school groups carrying out all kinds of outdoor activities during the daytime, evenings and nights.

My Experience

I’m actually working for a family of 6 with twins boys 1year old and their siblings 3 and 6. I do 3 full days Wednesday till Friday. I take older ones to school , pick ups, cook for babies, take them library, playgroups and dealing with their social skills and filling up their milestones with activities that help them improve.

I worked for a family of 5 covering summer weekdays for their 2 and half year old boy and 1 and half twins boys. I take them to park, outings in london, paddling pool and plan their days to have the best times and help them with their development.

In one of my last positions I worked 3 days a week with a wonderful family of 4. I look after the 2 and 4 year old and take them park, play dates, softplay, shopping and do school pick up for the older one. I cook for the kids and do light cleaning.

In the second position I’ve been looking for a sweet baby girl of 2 months old at Streatham and looked after her for 3 months two days a week. Unfortunately it’s at end as grandma will look after her now so looking for something similar if possible.

Previously, I worked as a Nursery practitioner. I worked in all rooms but mainly in pre toddlers. I organised activities for the children and helped them with their learning in a forest school concept.
I also encouraged them to understand what a routine is and to built relationships with the other children by promoting teamwork in directed activities. I’ve done observations, meetings with parents, and I know how to follow the EYFS regulations.

In this position was with a girl 10 months old and his brother 5 years old in Wimbledon. I used to take the youngest to Playgrup or playdates on a daily basis and cook for both of them. In addition, I was taking the older one to after school clubs, swimming and do school runs. I was looking after the baby all day and sharing the afternoon with her brother while I was helping him with his homework or organising playdates for him.

My previous position was with a family in New Malden with 2 boys. The oldest was 3 and the young is 2. I have been with this family for more than a year, and they will start school and nursery in September. So the family will need someone with different times requirements, less hours. Consequently, while I was with them I took the oldest to Nursery, and took the youngest to plenty of classes and Playgroups in the area. We also did swimming and took them for trips at the farm, Fire station, parks, soft plays and organised lots of play dates and picnics. I loved doing cooking and crafts with the boys too, and did some small house duties boys related.

In this position I was with a lovely family for 3 years and half with twins now almost 5, and their sister of 8 years old. They had 10 months and 3 years when I started. As much as I love them to bits I will have to leave them as they will start full time school in September so I'll be looking for a full time sole charge position from July 2017. Whilst I've been with them i tough them Spanish and I took them to plenty of Playgroups, Gymboree sessions, Playball, Art sessions and Perform in Wimbledon /Colliers Wood area. I also cook healthy meals for the children ,helped on drop off and pick up kids from school and nursery, bath them, bedtime, and I did a bit of house duties for children.

My last position was at Sydenham, and I workerd with a family of 4 for almost 2 years, they have 2 kids, a girl, 3 and a autistic boy 5. I was with them for more than a year and a half and I was mostly all day wit the girl while the boy was in a special school. Then, I took the girl to plenty of Playgroups, swimming lessons, and lots of craft games at home.

I just finished a Certificate of Higher Education of Early Childhood on part time (online course) with the Open University and I also attained my childcare qualifications in Barcelona.
When I was 18 I was awarded a Diploma in Childcare Activities by the Catalan government. This course included modules in Child Psychology, Entertainment and Education.

Whilst working as a Monitor at a Holliday camp in a farm schoolhouse for A.E.C.T.O. (2003-4). I also worked part-time in a nursery as a Teaching Assistant. There I learnt how to care for children from 3 months to 3 years of age, carrying out the classes and learning how to do activities for those ages, helping them to learn at the same time that they are having fun. I like to use a range of different types of educational games with children from 1-5, in order to help them to learn how to compare different forms, to read, write, sing, speak and to share their toys with other children or siblings. I can do this outdoors or at home. I also know a wide range of games and activities for older children.

I really love working with children, as they can give me the kind of fun that only they can give. And the most important their lovely innocence and smiles!

I have good references in English, Spanish and Catalan. References on request from all families.

First aid up to date and CRB checked yearly. I’m also Ofsted registrered.

I hope this is enough for now to get to know me a little. If you would like to know more about me it would be a pleasure to arrange an interview. I very much hope to hear from you soon.

I'm so happy we found Txell! She is truly a very experienced and talented nanny and a lovely person too. We hired her as our nanny over the summer holidays which meant a combination of sole and joined care of our three very active (and rather naughty!) little boys, as well as keeping the house clean and clear. We have 1 year old twins and a high maintenance 3 year old, they keep us on our toes! She bonded with the boys very quickly and really made the effort to understand their individual needs and characters. She had loads of ideas of how to keep them busy, tons of energy and was very warm and affectionate with them, which I really valued! She has lots of experience, works incredibly hard and can be proactive or work with instructions as needed. She was totally trustworthy and reliable. Her cooking is sensational! Honestly, nannies who tick every box the way Txell does are rare, we hope to work with her lots in future and would highly recommend working with her to anybody.
