About Me
Last one or two places for September 2025 before and after school care for Gerrards Cross C of E School new reception children.
My name is Claire, and I'm an experienced Ofsted Registered professional childminder and a trained Montessori teacher based in Gerrards Cross. I offer home from home care in a happy and safe environment and provide an established full day childcare,
I also provide local school and nursery wrap-around service for all ages every day of the week, offering drop off and collection to Gerrards Cross C of E School and Acorn Montessori preschool. I provide breakfast, snacks and home cooked tea in a small group setting where children can select their choice of games, toys and creative activities or relax in a home environment after a busy day at school.
I offer holiday and inset day care for all ages, providing a large range activities and experiences creating a fun and varied setting.
I have a huge range of games, toys and activities for all ages, plus lots of garden play equipment.
I have excellent references available from previous and current parents.

My Experience
I have been a childminder for over 10 years and have been a pre-school Montessori teacher for 8 years. I have comprehensive experience looking after children of all ages from babies, to 11 years old.
For babies and pre-school children I have a lovely playroom and garden, full of interesting and diverse toys and resources, many of them Montessori based. I support the children's individual development needs, following the EYFS. I have taught 2,3 and 4 year olds for 8 years, working on early pencil skills, early numeracy and phonics.
For wrap around school aged children I focus particularly on building independence; teaching road safety and also table manners, tidying up and helping clearing plates. My small group of lovely, friendly children do foster great friendships with each other, and enjoy their time together, whatever their age.
As a qualified Montessori teacher, I am able to support phonics for preschoolers, reception an and year 1 children, and can also offer one on one tutoring.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Montessori Teacher, with a Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy.
I also have a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce with Early Years pathway, Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection Awareness, Safeguarding, an Introduction to Data Protection, Basic Food Hygiene, and Equality and Diversity qualifications amongst others. .
I have a Masters Degree and a BA (Hons) Degree plus CIM Professional Marketing qualifications.
My Availability
Spaces available for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, plus school and nursery wrap around care with pick up from schools in Gerrards Cross and surrounding areas.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Fees are dependent upon days/hours required. I can supply breakfast, lunch and home cooked tea plus morning and afternoon snacks. Groups, classes and outings (where chargeable) are extra.
I can take 2, 3 and 4yr old funded children and accept all childcare vouchers.
