My Summary
About Me
I am Sheilla from Brazil, I have been living in London for 25 years. I live in Pimlico/Victoria.
I have been a nanny for over 20 years for children aged newborn up to 13 years old. I am looking for a full-time live-out nanny job with children aged 0-4 years to ensure longevity in the role. I am hugely passionate about children’s development and enjoy taking continuous study courses in my spare time to explore this further. My holistic childcare philosophy is based on patience, creativity, and open communication. I strive to understand each child’s unique needs and interests, fostering a space where they feel valued and encouraged to explore and learn. My knowledge of child development allows me to provide fun and stimulating experiences that are also educational.
I am enrolled in a Level 5 Maternity Nurse Training (Advanced Newborn Education) course in September 2024. I believe this will be beneficial in reinforcing my vast experience with newborns.
I am confident with proxy parenting having done so frequently in past roles. I am willing to travel with families and love experiencing new cultures with children and embarking on exciting adventures.
I speak English, Italian & Portuguese fluently and take joy in helping teach children a second language if desired. I love to spend time outdoors and enjoy taking children to museums, galleries, trips to the beach, castles, lavender/sunflower fields and children’s playgroups, specially nursery rhymes and libraries.
My previous responsibilities have included preparing nutritious meals and weaning, potty training, assisting with homework, organising educational & sensory activities, managing sleep routines and light housekeeping and PA duties. I am adept at creating a balanced schedule that ensures children’s developmental needs are met while also incorporating fun and creative playtime. I look forward to beginning my new role and continuing my passion for working with children.

I've known Sheilla for about one month now and I could not praise her enough. She is sweet, carrying, warm, but also punctual, professional and reliable. What's more, she has the gift of bonding with children instantly. My baby son adores her and I am extremely grateful for all the care and support she gives me and to my family! As a nanny, she as my highest recommendation!
Sheilla was absolutely brilliant with our 6 year old son. She immediately built rapport with him and supported us with his busy schedule. Sheila planned her time with our son very well and kept him engaged throughout. She helped him with his homework, including prep for spelling tests, craft work on a daily basis and daily maths and reading exercises.
Sheilla picked our son up from school everyday and navigated quite a complicated pick up schedule with ease. She was a lot more successful than we have ever been with getting lost properly back! I can’t thank her enough for doing such a great job and would highly recommend her.
