I am a qualified and experienced Early Years Teacher and was recently graded Outstanding in all areas again at my latest Ofsted inspection. My Ofsted reports say:

I live 5 minutes walk from Bowes Park train station and 10 minutes from Bounds Green/Wood Green tubes. There is also parking available for drop offs and collections.
My Experience
I am experienced in educating and caring for young children and currently care for my school aged son and daughter and other children during the week.
If you decide to place your child with me, you can be confident that I will provide:
o A safe, secure, nurturing and stimulating environment.
o Individualised childcare - I discuss with parents the care and routines provided at home, so that I can help little ones to settle in most effectively and plan timetables and activities to meet your child’s needs and stage of development.
o Educational opportunities – I respectfully join in with children’s play, to model new skills and strategies, or introduce new concepts that will develop their learning most effectively.
o A wide variety of age-appropriate toys, books and natural resources that are organised so that even the youngest children can gain confidence by choosing what to play with independently.
o A wide range of fun and creative activities.
o Visits to a variety of classes, groups and other outings (including using our secure garden) that will develop children’s skills and interests.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE in Early Years education (in addition to a degree and masters degree in English Literature).
In addition to taking the statutory courses on First Aid, Child Protection and Food Hygiene, I do regular training webinars, read blogs and other publications, to ensure that I remain fully up-to-date with all the latest ideas and requirements and that I can provide the highest standards of care to the children I look after. I share new ideas that I have learnt or the latest research with parents when this is relevant and I hope you will find this useful.

My two boys were with Lisa from the ages of approx 1yr-3.5/4yr. She was a really wonderful presence in their lives during that time. She was kind and attentive to their needs, with an emphasis on learning good manners, sharing and being kind. She provides stimulating play, with plenty of opportunities for sharing stories, nursery rhymes, dressing up, happy world toys, trains and animals. She encourages outdoor play and often visits the park, the train station, Ikea, bus trips and going for walks in the local area. She offers a healthy, wide-ranging lunch and snacks. She was supportive throughout tricky stages, eg fussy eating, separation anxiety and potty training. I cannot recommend her highly enough and only wish she was now the boys' teacher!

Lisa has provided outstanding care for my daughter from the age of 13 months to 3 years. Lisa provides a loving, stable and safe environment where my daughter has flourished and is always happy at the end of the day. Lisa provides a range of exciting and appropraite activities including trips out, visits to the local parks and children's centres. I highly recomment Lisa.

Lisa has provided a safe, exciting, educational and loveing environment for my daugher from aged 5 months to 13 months. My daugher is always happy to see Lisa and seems sad to leave all the toys. I would higly recommend Lisa as a childminder.
