I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder living in Monkspath and have been childminding for 16 years. Graded "Good" (February 2023)
I live with my husband (who is a registered helper but not currently assisting with the business) and our 2 children aged 23 & 19.
I offer many activities including, painting, cookery, national trust visits and play groups. My home has a large selection of toys indoor and out. I have an outdoor play area with a playhouse and a large variety of ride on toys. My setting has a separate playroom dedicated to Childminding. We currently follow "The Curiosity Approach" - child led play.
We attend "Freddies Play Pad" and "Claudies Soft Play" - both private soft play session which helps the children's gross motor skills and their confidence.
We visit the Library and the local "Forest School".
We also take the children to the local residential home to interact in activities with the residents. This has been such a rewarding experience and one we hope to continue.
All daily activities and menus are recorded on a closed/private media page. Individual development is recorded manually in a learning journal where parents can see the development of their child within my care.
My service offers a "home from home", safe and happy environment for children to play, socialise and learn at their own pace.
I am lucky to have 2 qualified teachers working along side me and a further assistants during the week. This enables my child to adult ratios to be lower. Having experience of working in schools, preschools and nursery, my assistants and myself make an excellent team, understanding parents and children's needs.
During the school holidays we go to:

• Space Centre (Leicester)
• Mary Arden House
• National Trust Houses
• Forest School
• Butterfly Farm (Stratford)
There is no additional charge for these trips.
Driving a 15 seater vehicle, every day out is an adventure in the "bus" as the children call it.
My Experience
I have been registered for 16 years and throughly enjoy looking after children. The children I care for range from 6 months - 12 years.
I have experience of assisting in New borns, Nursery, Pre-school, Infant and Junior School.
Following the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) the children in my care learn through play, having the freedom to explore and experience new adventures.
Having 2 children I understand their needs and requirements, ensuring each child remains an individual and their interests are encouraged.
I have experience of working with children with special needs and children who have severe allergies.

Faye has looked after my boys from 11 months old - they are currently 3 & 7 and thrive in the loving environment that Faye provides.
I never worry when my boys are with Faye - she isn’t just a childminder - she is like family.
School holidays include an array of fun days out and her Christmas party is the best!!
If you’re torn between a large nursery setting and a childminders then Faye is the woman for you as her setting offers the best of both worlds with lots of activities within a warm and friendly family home.
I struggle to get my boys to leave!!!

Faye has been looking after my son since the end of May. He absolutely loves going to Faye's & I couldn't have found a better childminder for my son. She's been so supportive for me and my son & I'm so glad I found her?
Thank you Faye for being a brilliant role model for my son.

Faye has looked after our 3 children (ages 8,6 and 3) for the past 5 years and we can't rate her highly enough. We wanted a safe, homely and fun environment for our children and we certainly found it with Faye. All 3 children settled very quickly and have enjoyed going to Faye's ever since. She has the same values regarding discipline as we do so the children benefit from consistency between her and home. She offers so many exciting activities to keep the children stimulated and happy. She is totally reliable which for a working parent is vital. Faye is very caring and nurturing and treats every child as the individual they are. She has a safe and fun outside area for the children to access which they really enjoy too. I am so glad we found Faye for our 3 children and would not hesitate to recommend her.

From the moment my child started she settled very well. She had never been in a child minder environment before so neither of us knew what to expect except that I knew Faye was fully booked and everyone spoke highly of her. Now we know why ! She has given my daughter a home from home environment where she clearly feels safe, secure and stimulated, My daughter never wants to leave ! There is a excellent choice of varied meals, activities in and out of the home and other children to play alongside with. Faye is firm when required and always has a spare hug when needed too. I know that my child's needs are paramount and always addressed with care and consideration. I am more than happy to recommend Faye.

Faye has looked after my three children for six years. She provides a 'home from home' environment and they all love going to Faye's. She caters for their individual needs, makes sure they are safe and happy in her care, and makes their time with her great fun too. She caters equally well for the needs of babies and older children - she has looked after my children from the age of under one through to 11 years old. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Faye.
