About Me
My name is Gillian I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live in a link detached home with my husband Mark and daughter Lauren and our lovely cats called Beau and River. My home is a caring safe and stimulating environment giving children lots of opportunities to have fun and learn through their play. I am close to local schools and provide a flexible and personal service that meets the needs of each child. We have lots of facilities close by such as parks play areas and nature walks.
I aim to provide a high standard of care and play activities for your child. I believe children learn through talk interaction, exploration, practice and discovery.
I offer regular updates and reports provided on progress/milestones and 2 year report in line with the EYFS Practices and by using the advanced Baby's days system I am able to keep Parents comprehensively involved in the children's learning journey and day's accomplishments by connecting them onto the system to view photographs and read their child's notes.
I am committed to the welfare and development of all the children in my care and it is important to me that parents can leave their children knowing that they are in safe hands and are having a very positive enjoyable experience.
My Experience
I have gained quality experience from working in a nursery and pre-school environment. I am fully qualified in early years and childcare education. I have worked in the childcare sector for 13 years and have attended various courses.

Gill looked after our daughter from when she was 8/9months up until she started school. During this time, our daughter truly blossomed under Gill's care. She formed a wonderful bond with Gill and her family, one we hope to treasure for years to come. During those 3+years, we all navigated a lot of uncertainty during the pandemic. But Gill tried to offer consistency as best as was possible, as I was a keyworker and required ongoing childcare.

My little one has been looked after by Gill for the past 3 years (since she was 1 year old) and absolutely loves the environment and the love and attention shown to her. My daughter has formed a special bond with her. Gill is very friendly and bubbly and offers a multitude of exciting activities for the children. Thoroughly recommend to any parents who might be frightened by the prospect of having to return to work.

When it came to returning to work I struggled to come to terms with leaving my child with, what was ineffect, a perfect stranger. However after interviewing lots of childminders, I knew Gillian was the right person to look after my daughter the moment I met her. She is extremley caring and spends alot of time developing and nurturing my daughter. Every time I go to work I know with confidence that I am leaving her in the capable and loving hands of Gill. When my daughter has a bad day, Gill always provides lots of cuddles, which as a mum is important to me, when I am not able to. I can't recommend her enough for those of you who worry about leaving their child with someone else to care for them, because Gill provides lots of love and attention, and I know, most importantly, that my daughter is one very happy little girl when she goes to Gill's for the day. Gill and her family are like a second family to my daughter. And that makes me a very happy mum.
