About Me

I'm Emma, a mature, qualified, engaging nanny with over 22 years of Nanny Days under my belt. I'm energetic and have an intrinsic passion for all aspects of child care.

I am a true career nanny with an emphasis on development through engaging play, exploration lots of fun and laughter and reading books and I’m not afraid to go out in any weather and explore this wonderful city we live in; rain or shine it is full of museums, parks, galleries and people to play with. As a nanny I find the balance between adventure and recapture, a morning in the park and a quiet afternoon reading stories together or singing.

I love to cook healthy meals from scratch and plan accordingly to make sure the children in my care receive a balanced and extremely healthy diet. My newest find a hidden veg mild curry sauce, it’s a game changer! Although I often enlist the help of the little people and have conversations about a balanced diet and about all the colours of the rainbow in the veggies we are prepping.

I like a broadly structured day enabling children to be stimulated at each stage of development through age adapted play and activities, I enjoy each stage as it comes and goes, from singing a lullaby to a drowsy newborn to waiting for the first potty product! Art, crafts, baking and imaginative play are among many things in my remit.

Forming friendships with others and the children learning kindness and respect for others is important to me, I have traditional family values and encourage my charges to be cautious and empathetic.

I am a good communicator and like to form a good work relationship with parents encouraging an all round happy environment for children, myself and their parents.

Rates: £14-16nph depending on location. Nannyshare rates from £18-20 an hour net (£9-10nph) per family). Twins £16nph. My rates are NEGOTIABLE.
