About Me
I am a single parent and have brought up my son and daughter on my own since they were 4 and 6 years old. My daughter is a primary school teacher and my son has just graduated from Plymouth University. I am very proud of their achievements and enjoy spending time with my family.
My Experience
I have had many years experience in the child care sector working with children form birth to 11 years. I am currently working in a nursery within the pre-school group. I have a passion for the job that I do and have the added responsability of room leader and special needs coordinator. I believe that all children are unique and that the care that they receive must be taylored to meet their individual needs.
My Qualifications
I have attended many trainings, covering speech and language awareness, health and welbeing courses, inclusive practise to name but a few.
I have a NVQ4 in childhood development and in 2013 completed my studies by undertaking a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies at plymouth university . I hold a current First aid Certificate and a recent CRB check

Dawn has babysat for my little boy on a number of occasions now, and she's brilliant with him. The first time she met him she put him at ease and clearly gets along very well with children. I'd recommend her to anyone.
