About Me
I have been a Primary School teacher locally since 1992 and I love working with children and seeing them overcome their academic struggles.
My Experience
I have taught in local Primary Schools for over 30 years, with experience of Year R through to Year 6, including SEN. I have been an external marker for Year 6 SATs tests for several years and so can coach children in what the markers are looking for. I have home tutored a wide range of children in the last 25+ years.
I like to make my sessions as fun and practical as I can, and often create games to help practice and reinforce concepts taught.
I have training and experience of working with children who have Selective Mutism and anxiety, and can also offer support to parents & schools on how to help children overcome this often misunderstood condition.
I am an active member of my local Baptist Church, where I also volunteer on the Kids' Team.

Catherine is proving to be a fantastic tutor for my daughter who is 7.
Catherine is professional, knowledgable, patient, prompt and manages to keep my daughter engaged which is not always that easy! I would highly recommend. ⭐️🤩
