About Me

Dyslexia Specialist Teacher - 1:1 tutoring to support learners of all ages with reading, writing, spelling and maths.

I am an experienced primary school teacher who has taught for the past 16 years in London and Surrey across key stages (KS1, KS2 and the Early Years). I have recently completed a Level 5 SpLD Dyslexia Specialist Course so I can work on supporting neurodiverse learners 1:1.

I am a trained teacher in both the UK and the U.S.

I provide online and face to face lessons both in local schools and in students homes. As a dyslexia specialist I work with a number of local school to find a suitable time in the child's timetable to tutor in their school during the day. This allows the student to get the 1:1 support at a time of day when they are at their best. Many dyslexic students find after a long day of compensating for their difficulties that after school tuition can be challenging. This also gives me the added benefit of working closely with the school and class teachers to offer some guidance and advice for how to support the student in class.


My passion for teaching students with extra needs stems from my personal experience with dyslexia as a learner. Having benefited greatly from the support of a specialist tutor during my own academic journey, I am committed to providing that same level of guidance and assistance to the students I teach.

I experience working with a wide range of neurodiverse conditions, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, dyspraxia, and ASD. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each student, I strive to create a nurturing learning environment that fosters growth and development.

In my tutoring sessions, I employ a multi-sensory approach that engages students and makes learning enjoyable. By incorporating their interests into the lessons, I ensure that the material is relevant and relatable, enhancing their overall learning experience.

To cater to the evolving needs of my students, I offer both in-person tutoring and online tuition through a captivating platform called Koala Go. Koala Go is designed specifically for teaching younger children, this platform provides an interactive world where students and I have avatars and explore educational content. By using this innovative platform, I maintain the engaging and multi-sensory nature of my lessons, even when teaching remotely.
