My Summary
Early Years Learning Tiney Home Nursery
About Me
Hi
My name is Jackie.
I’d like to give you a brief insight and welcome into my nursery setting.
We are a teaching and learning environment led by me, an early years teacher.
Our teaching combines the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) alongside the holistic Montessori method of education and teaching, which together enhances our aim to stimulate a fascination for learning. Both teaching methods are centered around learning through play.
Our aim is to provide a welcoming, nurturing, stimulating and enabling environment, where your child can grow and learn in all areas of their development.
I’m passionate about children’s learning and development. My aim, hope and aspirations for the children in my care is to “give each child the very best start in life and to inspire a love of learning.”
I have an excellent reputation for a progressive and inspirational method of teaching that offers the highest quality of care and education for children.
Our nursery setting is a very large space, combined with a large outdoor garden equipped with a variety of physical resources, that are both fun and challenging.
We have an open door ethos when it comes to parents consultations/meetings. So, whenever a parent would like to have a meeting, or the keyworker thinks a meeting would be beneficial, then one can be arranged.
Below is a brief description on our learning environment, what we do and how we do it.
But, on coming to see the nursery, parents will receive a prospectus that will explain everything about us and everything you need and want to know, in detail.
We work around a monthly themed topic, which are chosen for learning/development and interests.
January - Animals from around the world
February – Our Body
March – Jobs People Do
April – Different Seasons
May – My World
June – Types of Food
July – Tactile and Visual
August – Other Living Creatures
September - Fish and Their Environment
October – Planets
November – Festivals, Cultures and Celebrations
December – All about Christmas
Our Daily Routine

Creative activities; crafts, artwork & cooking are started & continued throughout the day with children’s choice and interest taken into consideration.
Children can self-select activities from low level shelving.

Parents are kept updated with their child's progress by;
