Hello, I'm Christine!

I have a genuine passion for working with children and have been fortunate to build a long career in childcare, spanning over 23 years. From a young age, I knew I was destined for a career nurturing little ones, and I truly love helping children thrive in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment.

I would describe myself as warm, bubbly, fun, and energetic – always ready to get stuck into singing, reading, arts & crafts, baking, music & dancing or exploring the great outdoors!

My Experience:

• 19 years in childcare – including nursery experience (with promotion to Room Leader) and as a sole-charge private Nanny

• Experience caring for children from 3 months - 9 years

• Comfortable with both babies and older children

• Full, clean Driving License & own car

• DBS Checked & Paediatric First Aid Trained

• Excellent references

Alongside my childcare journey, I also pursued my other lifelong passion – Musical Theatre – completing full-time professional training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and working in performance roles both in the UK and abroad.
For anyone who is curious - I then completed 6 professional performance contracts. These included; a Pantomime tour of Jack & The Beanstalk around North London Primary Schools and Community Centres; a 5-month Singer/Dancer role as LEGO Friend 'Emma' at Legoland Resort Malaysia; an 8-month Singer/Dancer & Entertainment Host role at a Hotel Resort in Sardinia, 2 seasons as an Elf/Assistant Manager at a Christmas Grotto Experience Event in Essex and then finally a 10-month Singer/Dancer contract at a family holiday park in North Yorkshire.

Since returning to childcare in 2018, I’ve spent the last 7 years providing nanny/housekeeping services – combining my natural love of children with helping families keep their homes running smoothly. I know how busy family life can be, and I take great pride in making parents' lives that little bit easier.

I still tread the boards, but now only as a part-time hobby alongside my work as a nanny, and you can often see me performing in musical theatre shows across Cambridge.

What I Offer:

• Sole-charge childcare

• Housekeeping duties

• Cooking

• School/nursery runs

• Dog-friendly (I have a small, well-behaved Chorkie who could come along or stay at home depending on the family’s needs)

I'm ideally looking for a 3-4 day role (Mon-Thurs), working 6-7 hours per day – with some flexibility depending on location. (Longer days are an option if there could be a window of time during the day in which I could pop home for a dog walk OR if my dog was able to come with me - she has accompanied me on occasions previously)
