About Me
My name is Susan and I am a Ofsted registered child minder for over 10 years with over 30 years experience working with children from birth up wards. I am passionate with working with children and take great pride in developing their knowledge and development skills.
I believe in learning through play and the importance of stimulating activities. These activities can range from being creative, messy play, free play and group lead. I hold the activities, either indoor or outdoor, I like to take the children to play groups so they can mix with other children and to be able to develop their social skills.
I hold a Full UK driving license and I have my own vehicle which is purely for childminding. I use the vehicle to take the children to playgroups, parks, libraries, trips to the farm and to the sea side. I like the children not just to learn inside I like them to get them out and to visit the fantastic places we have locally.
My Experience
I have worked in Children Centres, Schools, Nurseries, Play Schemes and before and after school care. I have worked with diversity of family units within Sure Starts projects.
I am a fully qualified First Aider and fully qualified in Safe Guarding and ICO awareness.
I have experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage regarding children learning, experiences and new skills. I do observation reports, tracking the child development via the curriculum guidelines.
My last position was working for a Charity, Child and Family Connect as a Volunteer Officer. I worked with separated families who needed support with family issues.

Sue has looked after our little girl since she was about 1 1/2 up to the age of 4. Sue has helped our daughter learn life skills and helped with her speech and communication too. She takes her out to play centres, day trips and sometimes trips to the library and always updates us with photos and texts often with what she is up to that day. Sue has been flexible with pick up times when we have been running late occasionally and when our child has been under the weather, Sue has still looked after her and offered guidance/support and in an emergency case, dropped our child with a family member when we were unable to pick up with our approval. Overall our child has developed really well and confidence has grown so much because of her time spent with Sue. We can't thank Sue enough!

Sue has been caring for my daughter from her being 8 months old until going to school now at 4.
I have been completely happy with my decision of childminder from day one.
My daughter has learnt so much whilst in her care, and thinks of Sue as family now.
The kids are taken on outings daily, and complete age appropriate learning tasks which parents get sent updates on via text and photo.
As well as academic learning the kids are all taught life skills, manners and good behaviour - which I really appreciate!
Every parent I have met at drop off or collection absolutely loves Sue also.
Finding someone to trust with your child is so difficult but I cannot recommend Sue enough.

We have been using Sue to care for our daughter since I returned to work in March.
Our daughter absolutely loves Sue.
We get photo updates throughout the day and feel completely confident that she is cared for and happy.
Sue ensures the children are always active, and takes them on days out as well as garden play and educational games. She even has a purpose built nursery room at her home so has the best facilities we had seen whilst looking around.
We are very happy with our choice, and encourage anyone else looking for care in the area to consider Sue.

I booked this child minder with one week to go for a funeral. when the time came we arrived at the time and day of the funeral. when we got there nobody answer the door and had to phone a few times and got though to explain we are here and she was out and said come back later I said yes but didn't go back in the end as I couldn't trust her plus it was a very emotional day which I just did not need would not recommend.

If anyone is looking for someone to look after their children I just want to recommend Sue. She is amazing with my son and he is always happy and content when I drop and pick up. She provide a wide range of art and craft activities for children, which the kids bring at home. She organised day trips and visits to children centres weekly. She's friendly, proactive and approachable person. So pleased I picked her.

I was worried when I had to start leaving my children with a minder because I didn't think I could have that peace of mind at work but Kiddos63 proved me wrong and put my mind at ease.She has been looking after my kids for a year and she has actually been such an amazing person throughout.My children loved her straight away.She organises educative and fun packed activities for all the children under her care,she teaches and trains them to be lovely and polite children and feeds them with a healthy diet.I drop my kids off for about 12 hours and don't have to fret about them whilst I am at work.Jayden and Jeslyn say thank you Kiddos63.You are such an amazing childminder.
