About Me
I am a fully qualified Level 6 Early Years Professional with over 12 years experience in family support and early years education. I firmly believe that each child’s early years journey should be unique and must be facilitated compassionately with energy, fun & a broad array of opportunities.
I live on the Roman Gate estate in Leighton Buzzard with my husband. We have a 15 year old son and two girls 10 & 5.
I enjoy talking to children to further their knowledge and experiences of every day events. I encourage and set up situations for the children to enjoy including messy play, imaginative role play, healthy eating and exercise, social interaction and outings. During each day, I believe in each child having an important balance between interaction and individual play and also between 1:1 and group learning and experiences.
We visit playgroups, music and rhyme, soft play and parks dependent on each child's interests. We are child-led so every day is always different! We have mead open farm and whipsnade zoo passes.
My Experience
I have worked in both childcare (pre-school) and family support (children's centre) roles. I completed my registration with Ofsted to become a child minder in October 2012 to begin minding in 2013 after the birth of my daughter.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50-£6.00 per hour. Reductions for full time and/or siblings. Fees inclusive of weekly groups and consumables.
Daily healthy packed lunch provided by the family.
Childcare vouchers and tax free childcare accepted.
Free funding available for 3&4 year olds (2 year old funding available subject to family circumstances).
Emergency care also available. Please contact me to discuss.

Paula has offered no end of support to our family with our first child and we are planning to send our new baby to her too. Paula offers a stimulating environment in her own home with a huge variety of activities whilst also taking the children in her care to groups and on days out. Paula is professional, has high standards and offers thorough communication home.
Outstanding rating truly deserved.

Having found Paula using this website my 2 yr old has been at the Playhouse for over a year now. I am very happy with the care Paula gives him - she always goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
At the Playhouse they are always well stimulated in a safe and caring environment as well as going on outings to the local farm, toddler groups, soft play etc.
I never worry about my son when I am at work as I know he is safe hands and he is always very happy when I collect him.
I would highly recommend using Paula's Playhouse.

I was lucky enough to have Paula as my childminder for my son, who was 2 years old at the time. "Paula's Playhouse" is a great environment for any child of all ages. Paula creates a home from home as her setting, makes it fun, is very professional and cooked lovely home cooked meals. My son loved going there and it was always a very clean environment with a full agenda of activities. She does plenty of arts and crafts with the children and happily takes the children out to local organised soft play groups etc.
Great with medical advice and general tips on childcare. Paula genuinely loves her job and was always full of energy and ready for the daily challenging of childminding. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a new childcare provider.
