My Experience
I have over fifteen years of experience, in childcare ranging from being a Class Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Nanny (reputable and respected individuals in the public eye) Babysitter and Childminder. I have taught pupils across the key phases, Early Years (EY) to Key Stage 2. Recently specialising in Early Years. Since 2005 I have maintained a clean driving licence and I'm the eldest sibling of a large family and I have been the guardian of my two younger siblings, for the past 6 years (16 and 18 years) as my mother passed away.
Current role qualified teacher - available occasionally during the evenings/ weekends/ school holidays). My previous jobs as a sole charge nanny, involved caring and providing for a boy of 10 years of age and prior; two children, a 10-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy also two girls aged 4 and 7 years, within the last few years two boys aged 3 and 6 years. Additionally, during my spare time I ‘sit’ for a variety of children; from new born to secondary school children. Now I have a bubbly 5 year old daughter, who may attend too!
My Qualifications
I have gained a degree in Education in order to teach primary pupils in both the private and state sectors; I obtained Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in 2014. First Aid and Enhanced DBS Certified and experience as an OfSTED registered childminder. All of my documents and references are available upon request (hard copies to view for security reasons).
My Availability
I am available to work part time, occasionally during the weekday evenings, over the weekend and school holidays (I may consider full time hours during the school holidays, please note I have an outgoing 5 year old daughter, who may come to work with me too). This was the same routine whilst working with previous employers, their children found this beneficial as they had another fun child to interact with.

Jacinta looked after my sons for over 2 years (ages 9 & 5) and has performed diligently throughout her term.
Jacinta was highly motivated and performed extremely well by utilising her past teaching experience. She kept a diary of the boys’ routines, developed learning plans, monitored their progress and reported any concerns. She was able to support both boys with their learning across the curriculum. My eldest son is dyslexic, he has achieved extremely well under Jacinta’s tutelage and care. She was always very patient with them and able to present new ways of learning that captured their attention.
Jacinta got on very well with the boys, according to my observation, she always seemed genuinely interested in children’s development. They felt safe and were happy in her care.
I found her to be very reliable, trustworthy and motivated. I could not recommend Jacinta more highly.
