About Me

NNEB nanny with 30+ years expierence,Ofsted registered, DBS checked and up to date first aid. At present I am working 2 mornings at a wonderful pre school in Henleaze and doing after school pick up , for a a lovely family of 3 girls, who I have cared for ,for 2 years now.
As you can imagine, after 30+ years I have worked with many families, all of whom I am still on good terms with.
I have worked with some families for long term 5 years, 7 years and 13
The family I’m working with at the moment have decided their children are growing up too fast and now want to do more of the child care themselves, they have asked if I could possibly consider staying with them one or two afternoons a week but understand that I’d prefer working with just one family.
I am looking for afternoon pick up from school and care 2pm - 6pm , Monday-Thursday. I’d like Fridays off work if possible. As I’m still working at a Playgroup in the morning I’d find it difficult to do morning drop offs, sorry..
Starting work at 2 gives me a chance to prepare a healthy meal, maybe put a load of laundry on, empty dishwasher etc, just get prepared for collecting the children from school, if I need to take them to clubs by car ,I am fully insured to drive them around and have car seats in the car, or we can walk. I always try to remember a little snack for after school as children always seem to be hungry and tried at this time.
I am happy to have other children over for play dates or go to a local park for a play . When we get home , it’s fun to do craft or play a board game or try to get the homework done .

Even after all these years I still love my job, Children make the day so much fun, there are not many jobs where you get to play all day, go to the zoo, the park or museum. Bake cakes, explore the woods, watch insects, make dens or paint rainbows. No two days are ever the same, we could play in the park and if it rains, maybe take a train to Temple meads, just to sit on the platform to watch the incoming Trains and eat a picnic. To see the joy on a childs face makes me feel I have the best job in the world.
