About Me
I am an ofsted registered childminder living in the Houghton-le-Spring area and can do school collection/drop off at local schools. I am a friendly and outgoing person, trustworthy and very caring. I will always try to meet the needs of every individual and be as flexible as possible regarding the hours I work, activities I do with the children and the places I visit with them. I am willing to plan activities and days out around the needs and desires of children, so if your child had any favourite places to visit please feel free to let me know and I will do my best to include this within my routine.
Within my home I have a play room with a variety of toys and activities for the children. A quiet corner for children to complete any homework they may have. I have a good size enclosed back garden, for outdoor activities. I am within walking distance of the school as well as parks and play areas, which I will take the children to on a regular basis.
My Experience
I have lots of previous experience of working with children;
* I worked within a youth project for 4 years.
* I have also worked with autistic children for four years.
* Before this I worked in a private nursery for just over a year.
My Qualifications
Paediatric 1st aid
awareness raising in safeguarding children
CACHE level 2 diploma in playwork
First Aid Basic adult education programme level 2
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home based childcare
AS applied Health and Social Care
I have also completed awareness classes in, epilepsy, drugs and alcohol, special needs and sign language

My daughter (2yo) settled really quickly, has been so happy with Aime. Aime is really warm and welcoming, she has a great setup indoors and outdoors with lots of toys, and the house is spotless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Where do i start? Firstly and most importantly THANK YOU!!!!!!! I am a single mum and many parents going back into employment or education after having a little one is strenuous enough without the concept of leaving your child with a stranger. I interviewed and met many childcare providers prior to Amie obviously none of them i was happy with for one reason or another. Amie was recommended to me by a few of my friends who had nothing but positive feedback and i can now understand why. My 5 year old and Amie have a fantastic relationship as with all the children including her own that she takes care of. Without Amie i wouldn't be where i am now simply through the trust, assurance and knowledge that she is the most trusted, reliable, honest, nurturing, caring, accountable childcare provider and parent could wish for. Amazing creative environment at home, daily activities, trips out & about, nutritional meals and snacks....the list goes on So, thank you for nurturing my little boy, thank your constant support, thank you for all the wonderful memories you have game my son and myself! THANK YOU!! I would recommend Amie to anyone. 105stars!

You know how to make me blush. It is an honur to be the one you trust with your most precious, he is a pleasure to care for and a credit to you. Feels like iv known you both a long time and even long after you need childcare I know I will now always be in both your lives
Amie is very reliable and she goes above and beyond for my children, amie has looled after my 4 children ages ranging from 1years old to 10. Amie really makes my children feel apart of the family ans my children are safe as amie safe guarding for my children is outstanding. Amie caters for for all my children's needs and is always on time to pick up my children from school and extremely flxable as i am currently a university student. My children love going to amies and love the trips on the school holoday that amie planns. I now consider amie as a close friend for me and my children. My daughter is not allowed dairy and amie supports my daughters dietary needs. Amies home is very clean, tidy and she has endless games and activities everyday for my children and educational activities too, when i collect my children amie always gives me a detailed pass over of how my childrens day has been. She is excellent with my girls.
