About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for nearly 25 years. I have two older children of my own, one who lives at home, and is DBS registered. As a teacher, she might see the children before they leave in the evening and is around during school holidays, but not left unattended with the children.
They have always been welcoming to the children who come to me to be looked after, treating them as members of the family.
I provide a warm safe caring environment with toys, games, activities and equipment to cover all ages. I work closely with the parents, and focus on meeting your child's individual needs while following EYFS guidelines.
I see my role as providing a daily routine for the children, as well as an environment which incorporates all the the activities a child would normally do with their parents, like visiting their friends, having them to play, going to Mother and Toddler groups, and visiting local shops, parks and the library, as well as other trips further afield.
I pick up and drop off at Longlands Primary School and Christchurch Playgroup, and am willing to take your child to other activities if I am able to.
I am able to offer the 9 month, two year and three and four year funding, whether 15 or 30 hours and am also signed up to the government tax scheme.
Can also provide holiday only cover.
My Experience
I have 30 years experience of bringing up my own children and have worked as an Ofsted registered childminder for the past 25 years, caring for children of different ages, race, religion, and culture, some of whom have needed additional support for their special needs.
I have references available on request from past and present parents.
My Qualifications
Ofsted registered and DBS checked as are some of my family members.
N.V.Q. level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development.
First Aid in Pediatric Child Care.
Early Years Foundation Stage training.
Safeguarding Children training.
Food Hygiene and Safety training .

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
From £6 per hour or part of for school age children.
Daily rate to be discussed depending on hours worked.
Fees include all meals and snacks.
If pre school age, a minimum of two days per week

My child was 10 months old when she started going to Sarah's, so naturally, I was quite nervous. I needn't have worried - Sarah has a lot of experience and knows what she's doing. My daughter settled in very quickly and really enjoyed her time there. I always felt well informed about her day and the progress she made. Sarah provides great care and a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise, outings to the park and to toddler groups, arts and crafts, messy play, singing, etc. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Sarah has looked after our children (ages 3 & 4) for the last year and a half. We have been very happy with the way that Sarah has looked after the children, welcoming them into her home and taking brilliant care of them. She spends lots of time with them drawing and making things and reading stories to them which they love. We will be very sad to leave Sarah’s – the only reason being is that our children are going to a school further away from where she lives. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone that needs a very caring lovely childminder! Mrs R Holland
