About Me
Welcome to Happy Days Childcare I am Tammy I have 32 years plus experience as a childcare provider and Ofsted registered. I have worked as a Nursery section supervisor, Teaching assistant and nanny.
Among many of my qualifications and on going training I hold an NNEB nursery nursing diploma level 3 passed with a distinction, Paediatric first aid trading level 3, anaphylaxis awareness training, defibrillator training and ongoing safeguarding courses, DBS checked.
I live in Harrogate with my wonderful husband and our beautiful 11 year old daughter plus our new addition our 9 year old rescue cat whitey. We love keeping active walking, swimming, and spending time with each other.
We are situated at Crossways Drive near to Acorns in Harrogate pre school and Hookstone school. At Happy Days we have a large play room dedicated to the children, it is vibrant and colourful with lots of educational displays that the children will contribute their work to. We are very passionate about music in our home my husband is a keen guitar player and we all love to sing and dance. So lots of music and movement sessions and sing a long times !
We have a secure rear garden ( key code access ) where the children have opportunities for outdoor learning.
We support our local community by access our local library, playgroups, cone exchange (craft recycling shop ) local cafes, woodland walks and parks.
I am extremely passionate about cooking and baking so the children will have the opportunity to become inspiring mini chefs during our ' What's cooking ? 'sessions
At Happy Days we provide a very loving, relaxed family home that we would like both children and parents to feel welcomed. As a parent and a childcare provider I realised on my own attempt to return back to work how difficult it was to find affordable, flexible and quality childcare. So this is why we are here to be flexible with parents busy work commitments.
We have termly themes which I plan activites and outings around following the Early Years Foundation stage. We also encourage child led play and free play so the children can play, explore and learn. We will work our termly themes around what interests the children, so they feel a sense of importance.
All year round and term time childcare provided.
Drop off and pick ups from Hookstone chase.

Tammy has looked after our two children for the last 4.5 years and she has always been fantastic with them.
Unlike all the nurseries we visited ( including award winnings) The house is always immaculate and the kids couldn’t wait to come back again.
Your children will receive all the attention and support that they need throughout their first years.
