About Me
Hi my name is Lucy, I am 44 years old and live with my Husband Laurence. I decided to follow my heart 12 years ago and do something I really wanted to, which is to look after children in my own home. I started my business caring for my niece and nephew and it has grown from there.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, taking my niece and nephew out on trips, going to the cinema and out for meals.
Our house is a 4 bed detached house on a quiet road in the Rainworth Area. We have a large secure garden with lots of outdoor toys. The garden is an addition to the space inside our house which has a play and craft area for the children to play with and enjoy. There is a downstairs toilet and sleeping facility's upstairs.
I plan trips out each week where we may go to parks, Library's, fun days, picnics, cinema etc, We will also mix with other ofsted registered childminders and their children.
My Experience
Since becoming a childminder I have had experiance of working with children of all ages and variety of special needs.

Available Monday to Friday.
My working hours are 8:00 am to 5:30pm

My standard fee is £5.50
per hour, includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, healthy snacks and drinks for 6 months old to 5 years old (EYFS).

I would highly recommend Lucy to anyone looking for caring, fun and personal childminding services. She made my return to work (after maternity leave) a smooth and easy transition. My little one absolutely loved his time with Lucy and had a huge smile on his face each morning that I dropped him off.
The setting is always clean and tidy but accessible and appropriate for a home catering for children to spend time in. I never worried about my little boy’s safety as I knew he was well looked after.
I really enjoyed the app she uses to track the children’s stages of development as well as keep me updated with what my little one has been up to during the day. During his time with Lucy he experienced a variety of activities as well as trips to local places and visited age appropriate groups.
He was provided with healthy and well balanced meals each day and often took part in cooking activities. Throughout our time with Lucy it felt like she really cared about the children in her care and she took the time to really get to know and understand the individual needs of my little one.
I unfortunately had to change childcare providers because of a change of job (30 miles in the wrong direction from Lucy) and was devastated because of how settled and happy my little one was but it just wasn’t feasible to continue with her.
Without a doubt I would definitely recommend Lucy’s childminding services.

My son Lucas has been with Lucy for nearly 2 years. He loves her and I feel great knowing he is being cared for in such a fantastic way.
Lucy is one of the best childcare providers I have ever used and will continue to us her for the rest of Lucas's school life.

Lucy has been childminder to our now 20 month old daughter since January 2012.
Lucy provides a spacious and safe playing environment, with nutritious meals. She encourages learning and interaction with other children through varied activities and clubs. Overall we are more than happy with Lucy's care for our daughter, and most importantly our daughter is happy :0)
