About Me
My name is Robert Lawford and I have been a registered Ofsted childminder since December 2011, and was graded ‘Good’ in January 2020 under the new inspection framework.
I co-childmind with my wife, Tracey Lawford, who has been an established Childminder since 2003 with a vast experience working with babies, toddlers, young and older children. Tracey was also graded 'Good’ by Ofsted in January 2020, and together we deliver a high quality level of care and development to children of all ages within our setting.
School pick up and drop offs include Etching Hill and Chancel Primary Schools - we may be able to support other local schools outside of Rugeley as well, but please contact me to discuss this in more detail.
My Experience
I am a father of 3 boys, currently aged 22, 19 and 15. I have a vast range of experience supporting children on their journey through their early years. As well as being an important male role model for some children, I also bring an alternative perspective to their learning and development.
In addition to her Level 6 degree in Early Childhood Studies, my wife also holds a Level 3 Forest School qualification. I’m really looking forward to assisting her in our Forest School adventures!
I have received fantastic feedback from Ofsted, my Training Provider, Parents and other Childminders and work closely with my wife to deliver a high quality of care in a relaxed, home-from-home learning environment.
My Qualifications
Key qualifications - Level 6 BA (Hons) Degree in Education, Paediatric First Aid, Safe Guarding
I am continuously looking for training opportunities to ensure Continued Professional Development.
We both frequently attend Local Authority/Entrust courses to ensure our core training remains up to date and relevant.
My Availability
Monday 7:30am - 5:45pm
Tuesday - Thursday 7:30am - 6pm
Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.
Weekend cover may be available but may be limited as is not the norm for us.
School holiday cover can usually be arranged - please contact me to discuss further
We usually take the last two weeks of August as our annual holiday, plus the fortnight over the Christmas period, so we believe that we are very flexible, and pride ourselves in doing everything we can to help parents and children.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour

Funded childcare hours available; Childcare Vouchers accepted (eg Sodexo, Computershare etc) plus many others.
Sibling discounts may also be available, but this does depend on how often children attend and/or the total numbers of hours required.
