- there will be a hive of daily activity ranging from creative expression through paint, paper and mixed media to baking sessions. Water and sand play along with dressing up , story and song time and construction are also daily activities that encourage imaginative development, enabling the children to express themselves freely and learn through play. All along with outside play in a country location. There is a large secure garden where children can play freely with the outdoor toys.

We want all children to have the opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually by playing, exploring, and learning with others in a fun, safe and healthy environment.

Playhouse childminding services is committed to helping your child/children develop a love of learning that will last throughout their lives. We want children to understand that they can use their existing knowledge to continue to learn. By empowering children to learn we are also contributing to their sense of self-esteem. Children who experience real success feel a true feeling of self-worth.

ACTIVITES AVAILABLE

Each baby’s day is flexible, different and parent led. Feeding and sleeping are gently worked into a routine which suits each baby’s individual needs.

Babies benefit from a wide range of daily activities, socialising with other children and familiar adults, listening and joining in with conversations and songs. There is plenty of space for physical play to kick and stretch, a firm but padded floor on which to learn to sit, crawl and walk safely, and toys specially chosen to encourage movement.

Mobiles, books, outings and interesting new objects are used to provide visual stimulation. Water, paint and other materials are used for messy play to develop tactile senses. Manipulative skills, such as holding, squeezing, rattling, turning and throwing, are developed and with fresh air combines to make a typical day in the baby and tots rooms.

Toddlers - whether the children are baking biscuits, getting messy with gloop or learning pencil control, it’s all great fun. Outings for toddlers normally consist of small groups of children exploring and learning about the local area or getting some physical play at the park soft play or toddler groups. I will ask for your permission to take your child out when you register.

Weekly planners are made up at the end of each week and can be viewed by parents - although they can change due to weather .
