About Me

Hi !!

I am a self-motivated individual with over 13 years’ experience of working with children from the ages of 2 weeks up to 16 years old. I am a very fun-loving person with loads of enthusiasm. I have positive and endless energy and I am very creative; I have a vivid imagination and love to get involved in activities indoor and outdoor. I am very ambitious and adventurous and have visited many countries around the world. I come from a multi-cultural family and celebrate all festivities from around the world. I am hard working, adaptable and have the ability to work well with all types of children.

I have extensive knowledge in providing long-term care for children which includes cooking, preparing bottles, potty training, education and amusing the children by reading and taking them on outings. I have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills. I am a goal-oriented person, excellent professional attitude and a highly motivated individual. I have excellent organisational skills; I am flexible and innovative and work well under pressure. I provide a caring environment and I am a trustworthy nanny who aims to provide quality and complete healthcare to children and toddlers.

I decided to make a career change towards child care as I am naturally good with children and enjoy sharing in the vibrant and dynamic world of children. I find it satisfying to see every stage of progress that is made and watch them grow into amazing individuals and the way that they develop. I enjoy using the EYFS areas of learning to help me develop the children I care for and seeing their progress by using these methods, I work with the parents to help them recognise the strengths their children have. I particularly love children learning through play and there are lots of opportunities to play outside.

Whilst children are in my care, I will provide a calm, safe and welcoming environment with lots of stimulation by encouraging the children to develop social skills and discover more about the world through play. I will help the children to develop number and language skills through activities like counting games and storytelling; take care of the children’s personal needs and help them to learn skills like dressing themselves, using cutlery and using the lavatory. I will ensure that appropriate health and safety and requirements are met. Working alongside and supporting the parents and other family members to improve their child’s development.

Routine is a very important part of a daily structure as it helps a child build confidence in them, security and stability. If a child has a routine established, they know what is expected of them and how much time they have for each stage of the day, this will help them to manage their time and behaviour. Routines are an ideal way to keep families and children calm and at ease with life’s variety. Children thrive from schedules that are easy to understand and accomplish, good routines will keep the family organised and will establish an environment of tranquillity for all family members. I would follow a morning, sleep and dinner time routine. A dinnertime routine establishes the importance of family interaction, I cook healthy and balanced meals for the children that I care for and ensure that the meals include all five nutrients which are fats, carbohydrates, protein, minerals and vitamins. I also cook a variety of dishes from all around the world e.g. curries, pasta etc.

Rahat came recommended to us by her friend, and was always very punctual and reliable when providing weekend babysitting for our 3 year old and our 3 month old baby.

Rahat read to and cared for our baby and made lunches e.g. a very tasty rice and prawn dish for our 3 year old.

Rahat was always very easy to contact and responded to messages promptly.
